Onsite staying at the Santa Fe was £644 and then I would have had to pay for Eurostar separate.

I have now booked hotel for £244, park tickets are approximately £240 and then the Eurostar is roughly £170 for both us - total £654 and that includes travel.

I think for a family of 4 its cheaper to stay onsite.
    ouch that is steep!

for a tad more than £240 you could purchase annual passes instead of hoppers etc : http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/booking/annual-passports/ which will enable you to return for another trip/s in the 12 month period, and gives you discounts @ shops / restaurants etc

I looked at the annual passes but to be honest we are not going to go back within the next 12 months so it was pointless paying the extra and I think we would have needed the top pass and that is coming out at 199 euros each when we are going to pay £119 for a 4 day 2 park ticket so that is the better option for us. We are trying to do this as reasonably priced as possible.

We normally buy 5 annual passes, by the time you have the family discount (5 for the price of 4) then the shareholder discount on top, it works at at £82 each for the Fantasy.
Then you get the 10% off in all the shops, and free parking, so we take the motorhome and stay there for a few weeks, and usually visit Paris on the train.

Sorry no we would need the most expensive (senior moment) but even paying for the fantasy pass at 139 euros withthe exchange rate, it is cheaper to buy it here although I may look into it because of the discounts they give you on things.

    Thanks

if you're fairly sure you won't be visiting DLP again in 12 months, you could just buy one fantasy pass and one regular 4-day ticket - the discounts you get with you fantasy pass (ie shopping discount, restaurant discount etc) are for your whole party, not just you ;).
