Looking to take kids for a weekend in Paris, Disneyland. Probs maybe May time, or whatever is cheaper LOL...

Found flights from manchester to paris, approx £450 for 2 adults and 3 kids. Thought thats quite good. ( I searched for dates outbound 6th May, and inbound 9th May).

Now am looking for hotels, something near disneyland so dont have to spend more on travelling from hotel to Disneyland. Any recommendations? 4/5 star...

Also, do i advance purchase the tickets for disneyland?

    tia

Depending on how old the kids are it may be cheaper to book a package, it can be a common misconception that booking seperate is cheaper but with the offers Disney have on at the moment travel can work out cheaper as part of a package.

We're hoping to go to Disneyland next year. hopefully june 2012? would that be an ok month? 2 adults and 1 toddler, who will be nearly 3.
    Here's what we would like;
at least 4 FULL days in the parks
to stay at one of the on site hotels
    and to fly from eninburgh

went to thomas cook the other day, they cant give me a price till 11 months before going, but for an example, for this june, it would cost £2330.55 and thats for the new york hotel. btw thats a package deal with flights included.

i thought that was pretty expensive. was just wondering if i can do it any cheaper?

i cant drive, plus we're in scotland, so flying will be best. Dont mind what time of year we go, but we would like it to be warm and sunny, and thought june would be ideal.

any help will be great, thankyou

We went last year 1st week in July, 2 Adults and 1 Child (a few months before 3rd Birthday at the time) for 4 nights and flew from Glasgow. This year we are going back the same time but for 3 nights.
The best time to book I feel is January, both times we have booked in January and got great deals staying at Disney Hotels (Sequonia Lodge).

Last year we flew with BA and paid in full with airmiles, wouldnt do this again as we had to change in London and it was a bit of a nightmare, Booked with easyjet this time, direct flights and the times are better of the flights. I think there is more choice in flights from Edinburgh.

I would say (I look frequently at the prices) but over all the best deals to be had are direct from the DLP website, you have to time it right for when they have 50% off which as I said both this year and last year I have got in January. Do not book your flights from the DLP website, get those seperate. At £2330.55 I think Thomas Cook are having a laugh. Half that including flights would be more realistic for June, for a tiny bit more you can go in July and benefit from the full opening hours fireworks ect (like in Floriday ) Worth it in my opinion. The Sequonia Lodge is next door to the New York, of similar standard and will save you a couple of hundered. For further savings you can stay down the road at the Santa Fe or Cheyenne, it depends how close you want to be. Oh the transfer from the airport was I think 17Euros per adult each way, my son was free as he was under 3.

I would say thats very expensive. Ive just done a quick search based on this June 5th for 4 nights staying at Sequoia Lodge , the price is £1443, hotel, park passes, transfers and air france flights, and thats booking it this close to the date, if you were to book when first released and there were no flight supps etc and an offer on you may even get it cheaper than that.

Hi there, thankyou for that. We were having a chat tonight and think that the new york one will be best for all of us, as its nearer the park.
did you search that on there website or was it a travel agent one?

Also do you think i will be better buying the flights sepreate than buying a package?

It is nearer the park, but the Sequoia Lodge is literally next door, so the extra walk is really nothing :)

You may prefer the look of the New York more, but if the location's the only reason you're choosing New York, I would personally be very loathe to pay much more.

The 2 hotels are huge and next door to each other, if you are at the wrong end of new york then you will be further to walk than the close end of Sequonia Lodge. It doesnt really matter, at the Sequonia Lodge if you are at the far away end you are only a 5 min walk to the disney village, there is also a small train that goes back and fourth between the hotels (newport, newyork and sequonia). In comparison to the amount of walking distance you are going to need to be doing once in the park, the distance between the hotels is nothing.

I just searched it on the travel agent one I use, but Im sure you would get similar prices on DLP.

    hi folks

    quick question on meal vouchers

hav just booked the Half board meal option 'plus'.
Q> in a restaurant where all 3 meal option (std, plus n premium)vouchers are accepted, do they all share the same menu? I mean if I opt for the buffet using the 'plus' voucher, do I get the identical buffet as the 'std' meal option voucher?

Q> When is the latest time I can book for dinner within the Disneyland Park since it closes at 8pm?

    thanks
