currently looking at the park passes and not sure whether to get 4 day pass or less?
never been DLP but when i went to Orlando there was loads of other things to do/see apart from disney,is this the case for DLP?
Basically what i am asking from those in the know is there anything else around DLP or is it the only place worth visiting in the area or do i just get the 4 day pass?
staying at the santa fe and will be driving from the UK to dlp if it makes any difference.
You may be better off buying annual passes ? especially if you intend on going again within the 12 months
you have discounts on food etc too

rocklobster - ah I see, I thought you meant you was going in September so this is why i put everything I did. I was wondering why your wife could only go in Sept when the kids were back to school....
No, i'd be having an absolute mare over it too. Could you speak to Trading Standards see what they advise? I am pretty sure there will be a clause in there saying that they are subject to change and cancellation to cover themselves.
What about flying Easyjet from Luton though. Is it possible? You can get the 9pm flight and be back in the UK for 9pm. Just a thought.0 -

thanks for the link that looks like good value, the fantasy is about the same price as a 3 day hopper is.
i am going on 14 march so outside school times, would you advise buying a normal ticket online prior to going and then upgrading once at the park or just buy annual pass at the park?0 -

just buy an annual pass at the park gates - either at the ticket booths, at Guest Services, or at Bureau Donald (both of these are near the right-hand side turnstiles at the main park).0 -

Don't you have the hassle of filling out the forms: http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/booking/annual-passports/#/buying-an-annual-pass Or have they changed this?
The thought of doing this was putting me off but I think we want to get some.0 -

Its no hassle - I certainly don't remember filling out loads of information on a form when we first bought our passes. usual stuff, name, address, date of birth. the CM helps you, they take your photo with a webcam, put it on your pass, laminate it, and there you are, done and dusted.
eta - I've just clicked on your link - yes, thats the info you need - but it doesn't necessarily take an hour out of your time, and its not an hour each (ie if you are a family of 4, it would still be 30 minutes total, not 30 minutes each). If you pay for your pass at the normal ticket booths or Guest Services at the main park, you get a one-day park ticket and your receipt. You take both of these to the annual pass office in the main park that day, there they will take all your details (including checking your ID), get you to smile for the webcam, and give you your laminated pass.
If you go to Bureau Donald or Guest Services at the entrance to the Studios, you get the permanent laminated pass done then and there.0 -
B_M I have had a quick read and it does look like you need to fill in a form and have piccy taken, looks like it takes 30-60 minutes to sort out I know what I will be doing on the afternoon on arrival day now rather than doing it on first full day.
Works out similar price/cheaper than hopper depending on amount of days etc, also an excuse to go back again before it expires next year.
The Disney bug has well and truly hit gotta get some overtime in to pay for
DLP in march,Orlando in sept and probably DLP early next year.0 -
when we bought annual passes it took around 30 - 40 mins to do 4
so not too bad and the staff were lovely
there was a tv in there and seats so the kids were kept quiet lol0 -
Hi
I've read in another forum abt booking a disney package for a family of 4 but only for one adult and the 2 kids. When they get to the hotel, they request to add the extra adult into the room and ONLY pay the hotel taxes, which is a couple of euros. Then they buy an annual pass for the extra adult, using the shareholder's discount.
Has anyone heard of or done this? Is this doable at all the disney hotels?
Thanks0 -

I have head that this is a way to get the room cheaper but I beleive that it means it is room only and no breakfast.
The prices of rooms are much more expnsive for shareholders, then you get a discount but it still comes out at the prices being higher than those booked on their website.
I am going to give them a call in the next few days and find out how much it is for a room at Santa Fe for 4 people, 3 nights, and will post back here to see if it is comparable against the DLP price on their site.
Are you a shareholder? You could call them and ask for the price of 1 ad, 2 kids in Santa Fe and post it here and then we can compare price differences.0
