  • hi, yes it was me lol. the reason is because 3 of us are flying from belfast and one is flying from manchester so had to arrange seperate flights and it wouldn't let me book 3 flights but a hotel for 4 online!

also i'm not keen on the disney shuttle bus system, last time we went into paris to do the eiffle tower at night and when we got back about 10pm, it was a nightmare trying to get back to the hotel. stayed at the radison that time.

also it gets very packed on the shuttle buses and because i am bringing my 5 year old this year, he would go crazy in a situation like that! i think they should warn people just how packed the buses are!

staying in val d'europe this year. thought i would give it a try anyway! thanks for the info on the shareholders club, i found it all very confusing online! it's all booked now so just need tickets for 7 days, think i'm buying annual passes and hopefully will get to use them again throughout the year along with my airmiles.
  • Hi,
I have stayed at the Davy CR twice and it is a fair drive. Around 20 minutes I recall.

The drive down is very easy, and if you are at DCR you really do need a car.

    Hi,

We booked with The Sun Deal and are going to Disneyland Paris on the 10th February. Instead of using the ferry crossing due to driving we have booked with the Euro Star direct to Euro Disney, however we have noticed that the Davy Crockett Hotel isnt on site of disney.

Does anyone know how much a taxi will cost us to the Davy Crockett Hotel from EuroStar Station.

    Thanks.

Hi all, were planning to go disneyland paris at the end of may:j, but not sure to book newport bay or hotel new york, about £75 difference. Also are the swimming pools in each hotel any good for kids who cant actully swim (10 and 5 yrs old), but love the water.
    Thanks in advance

If theres only £75 total difference in the price, I'd definitely go for the hotel new york - its closer to the parks, its not as huge as the newport bay club, and it has better breakfast :).

Neither of the pools are particularly good for non-swimmers, they don't seem to have a shallow end. But the hotels do provide flotation aids in both pools.
  • Hi,
Am wanting to go to Eurodisney as a group of adults for a day/overnight trip (group size still to be decided) with no children. Only looking to stay 1 night. A lot of the posts on here are about what hotels are best for families/children but as there will be no children going I'm wondering if there are any hotels that are best for adults.
  • Hi,
We are thinking of a holiday to dlp this year, never been before.
There are 7 of us, two adults 5 kids (12,10,5,3,1) can anyone suggest where to start ?
    - we have looked on the website and had brochures through the post. Very few have rooms
big enough. Can anyone suggest the best place to stay?

you can request 2 interconnecting rooms at any of the onsite hotels, or theres the Davy Crocketts Ranch if you're driving. The Explorers also have the option of a standard room plus a bunk bedded room with interconnecting door. Your 1-year old doesn't count for occupancy, the hotel will provide a cot for this child.

I am booked to go DLP in march from monday to saturday so with travelling 4 full days in resort.

currently looking at the park passes and not sure whether to get 4 day pass or less?
never been DLP but when i went to Orlando there was loads of other things to do/see apart from disney,is this the case for DLP?

Basically what i am asking from those in the know is there anything else around DLP or is it the only place worth visiting in the area or do i just get the 4 day pass?

staying at the santa fe and will be driving from the UK to dlp if it makes any difference.

Hi Johnny, look who has the Disney bug too..... We have been loads of times usually staying 3-4 days but Friday will be busy and Saturdays are VERY busy so bear this in mind.

What time do you intend on arriving there? You might want to go to the hotel, check out disney village etc... parks usually close 6 or 7pm weekdays so you'll not miss too much if arriving late, you can save a day there. Last day you might want to leave early and go into Paris instead and save a day there? We never go outside of DLP to be fair but if you are driving they have an adventure play site at Davy Crockett Ranch you might want to check out. Again, we have never been as we have always go by train.

We have always found more than enough to fill our time but it depends what rides you want to go on. A lot of the stuff is the same as Orlando, the Backlot Tour is different though so don't get caught out and go on that (they still have the bit with the tanker but they do have other props and special effects). Stunt Action Motors is the same but partially in French, partially in English - always understandable though. Again a lot of the rides are the same.

The shows are different and there is enough to last for 3-4 days with queueing. However, there is a shopping mall and sea life centre not too far away so you could go to those as well.

Did you manage to join the share holder club? You'll save money on park tickets so it might be worth considering for the £92 it cost me. You need to spend £500/£600 on food and tickets to get a saving and I think you'll do that if getting tickets on the gate.

Why did you book seperately? Did you get a deal on the hotel? I've been looking a lot and even with Shareholder Club and Annual Pass it is cheaper to get the package from DLP website.

I get the eurotunnel at about 7.30am so will probably be at DLP by dinner time is i would think,i leave saturday morning as eurotunnel back is around 1pm so effectively 4 full days and monday afternoon to fill.although on monday i might take a trip to Auchan to get some odds and sods.

i will be getting tickets in advance just did not know how many days to get as i was unsure what else was around, although thanks to your response i have a better idea.
probably go 3 days and spend a day doing other stuff
not joined shareholders yet i am going to just had a manic week at work so not had much time.

i booked all seperate as i got hotel for a good price and got a deal on eurotunnel through work, taking in to account tickets overall i will save £50 compared to the DLP website prices.
