When you get to the hotel and check in.0 -

I've booked it finally :T
with the booking I got 1 free adult carachter breakfast. To add additional I think is £13 - 15 each.
Is it worth it at all? My boys are 9 and 11. Will it be too baby-ish?
Would it be cheaper if I buy the remaining 3 tickets whilst there or is it cheaper if I book it now from the UK?
Thanks for all your help so far0 -
Hiya Bike,
Character breakfast was great when we went. Great for the kids and the wife really enjoyed it too. We had ours in Cafe Mickey and the spread they put on is pretty good.
As far as being baby-ish it depends on your boys really. The characters just come out and visit each table for autographs and pictures etc. They don't stay long with you if they don't feel you want them to.
We saw plenty of older children who seemed to have a good time. Just my two pennies worth.0 -

this is only my personal opinion - but as you get breakfast included in the price at your Disney onsite hotel anyway, that means you're spending about £40 extra for your character breakfast. If you intend to not have table or buffet service dinner while you're at DLP, and only intend having one character meal, the character breakfast would be the way to go.
But if you intend eating sit-down dinner or lunch rather than counter-service or McDonalds, you could have character lunch or dinner at Cafe Mickey and put that £40 towards that meal (which you'd be having anyway if you see what I mean).
Its not babyish though - in fact I know a lot of adults who go on character meals and don't take any kids with them at all lol!0 -
lol Your right Ballet. In fact I think I got more pics of the wife with the characters than the kid!0

speaking of meeting up wt characters while dining, i plan to hav a dinner at the Invention, is it true tht the disney characters spend more time at each table and are more engaging with children there?
Are there more characters at the Invention than Cafe Mickey?

Hi all,
I'm hoping you can answer a few of my questions! I've been to Wurodisney before but it was a company trip with clients so didn't have to look at the cost.
I would like to take my sister and my 2 nieces, 6yrs and 5yrs for 4 or 5 days by Eurostar
I was looking at the Disney hotel but was gobsmacked by the prices! £1700 for the hotel alone!!! Gosh it's gone up
Read a bit of this thread and the Cheyanne looks a popular choice...
1.Is there a company that offers good deals? There are so many websites not sure where to start?!
Best to book Eurostar seperately?
2.Cheyanne and Explorers are top of my list for hotels...like it to be themed, child friendly (ironic i know!) have characters at breakfast, have a pool and have a free shuttle and ideally not be miles out.
3.Nicest time of year for the weather? Happy to take them out of school. Hot but not too hot.
The Disney website did seem to come up with reasonable prices, i was looking at September 11...came up as £658 for the Cheyanne but then when i added transport shot up to £1200...does Eurostar cost that much!?!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance! xx
