Nara, you might want to check how much is airport transfers. I think VEA is about 18 euros per pax one way so if there is two of you, it would come to 72 euros just for the hour transfer. Now compare that to the extra £100 for the Eurostar - well worth it, I think just to avoid all the airport hassles

Hello all and Happy 2011 :j

since this is the last year that our oldest will be eligible for the under 12 go free we, and that he might not enjoy it as much once he is hitting his teenage years, we decided to go to Disneyland Paris at the end of January.

We are planning to book the Hotel and Tickets on DP webiste and Ferry separately. However I am worried about cancellations due to bad weather.

    My question is:
What happen if the Ferry is cancelled and we cant get to DP?
How do I ensure that we get money back or can rebook?

We are worried that with our luck we might get more snow and loose all the money we pay for the accomodation+ tickets + travel...

    Thanks :)

we went on ferry & was strong winds it caused 3 hour delay and that was when all night ferrys were cancelled so must of been some backlog! ferrys are rarely cancelled unless windy. When we went when the eurostar had a fire and the ferry were taking their passengers there were no delays just extra busy

    hi,

    2 quick questions.

how far are the Eurostar platforms from the main DLP resort/Hotel Santa Fe itself?
I am travelling with a young child, is it wise to take a taxi to the hotel from the station or is there direct bus shuttle to the hotel?

    tq

expedia quoTed me £100 more than dlp direct did

Play with dates and hotels as the offer has changed since I last looked too and those days at HC are no longer cheaper, the offers change, but also you can get 12% back on Quidco so factor this cost in too.

Same with anything really, shop around. They were definately cheaper last week. If I can sell enough crap I have lingering around the house by Feb, then we'll be going again!!

I've not stayed at Santa Fe to know whether it is walking distance tbh, but there is a shuttle bus that collects from right outside the station that goes to the hotel. Loads of people walk so I do not think it is that far.

How did you book? Have you tried asking for the Disney Express?

as blue monkey says, the shuttle buses to each onsite hotel, including the Santa Fe, are right outside the train station where the Eurostar arrives at DLP. The shuttles run every 10 minutes all through the day and evening. You are literally 2 minutes walk from the gates of the parks when you arrive at Marne La Vallee (Disneyland Paris) train station, and the entrance to the Village is opposite the entrance to the train station.
I always use the shuttle to the Santa Fe with our luggage, and either walk once we've checked in, or get the shuttle to and from the hotel for the rest of our trip. With little legs, the Santa Fe is about 15-20 minutes walk from the train station and the parks.

Also, on the way home you can take advantage of having your cases taken to the Eurostar terminal for collection at around 6pm. You can arrange it at the hotel and (the price at HNY was quoted as being 4 Euros a bag) they will take your bags to the Eurostar terminal and you go off to enjoy your last day, free of baggage to collect it just before the gate opens to come home. Just make sure you keep anything important with you. If you are worried about lugging stuff around, stick it in a locker for collection before you leave.

I was going to suggest the Disney Express on the way out, but we found that the time you stand in that queue you can actually get to your hotel, check in, dump your stuff and go to the parks just as quick as you could getting the Disney Express. It is usually less busy at 2pm time as well.

Hi all and more questions please. I m asking as I have never been to a two star hotel :D
we are staying at the Santa Fe, do we need to bring our own towels? Does the room have a kettle for making own coffees/teas if not is there power socket if we bring our own?

Can you drive out of Santa Fe to go to a cheaper restaurant and to get away from it all one evening for example?

What time would it be best to make the car crossing both on the way there and back?

    Thanks in advance! :)

towels are provided by the hotel, and you can hire (for a deposit) a kettle, but I always just take a travel kettle and coffee etc myself (you can buy milk in the hotel shop or in the filling station right outside the hotel). there are power sockets in the rooms.

i don't drive there, so can't help you with those questions
