hi all, am driving out to see family in august in france from the uk and thought the children may enjoy a night or two in disney, could you please advise as to the cheapest way to do this please as it would be really stretching the budget if we can manage it at all. thankyou

when we looked on the website it was coming up around £500 for the four of us to stay for one night and entrance for one day. 2 adults and two children aged 11 and 8. seemed a bit steep to me or is this usual

Stay offsite, plenty of budget hotels in the locality ( check out Expedia and Travel Republic etc)
park in the Disney Village multistorey carpark ( closer) for 8 euros a day instead of the Disney carpark 15 euros per day
Use Tesco clubcard deals for entry tickets ( and eurotunnel too!)

    = a budget Disney trip

    - you can book Eurostar or your own flights directly yourself, this should cut the cost significantly. Look for 30% discount on the official site for your hotel, this offer is around at the moment, you might have to play around with your dates/hotel choice a bit.

if its your first trip, you don't really need any extras (apart from maybe a birthday cake for your little girl) - just enjoy the Magic (I'm sure you both will :)).

    hi,

    need some help

should I prebook the half board standard meal package (lunch or dinner- 1 drink , 1 starter, 1 main and 1 dessert) for £159 for 2 adults and one 4 yo toddler for a 4 days stay?

are food/dining out expensive inside DLP?

    thanks in advance

yes, food can be expensive at DLP - google online sites for menus to get some idea. Having said that, the half board vouchers don't save you any money, all you are doing is paying for your food in advance. If you think you would have at least one table service/buffet service meal per day while you are there, and you want to pay in advance, the meal vouchers may be worth having. Bear in mind your £159 will only get you 3 meal vouchers each, as its done on nights booked in a Disney hotel, not days in the park.
There are counter service/snack restaurants as well at DLP (including McDonalds, sandwich places etc) which don't take the meal vouchers and which you might prefer. These are cheaper than table/buffet service restaurants.
  • Gone through a dummy run of booking a holiday at Disneyland Paris at the Dream Castle for April, but I see no option anywhere that mentions these Half-Board tickets - Am I missing something?

I'm not sure you can get the half board plans added to your booking online with an associated hotel, I think it has to be a Disney hotel.

Expedia are currently cheaper than DLP direct for accomodation plus tickets - PLUS it is 10% cashback. I was looking for Feb half term so check both sites before booking. DLP for Hotel Cheyenne for 2 nights is £448 and on Expedia it is £427 with £42.70 cashback.
Where do Expedia include tickets as I cant see a mention of tickets just b&b ?
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.

Ok i have found a deal for £400 for disneyland, and I have found cheap flights which brings the price to an affordable amount!!

But I have never booked flights before and I'm unsure about if you have to pay any extras on top of this? airport taxs and stuff!

Its been yrs since i went abroad and it was a package last time so fairly straight forward.

Also is there an easy way from the airport to Disneyland? and how far is it?

The only problem is the airport is an hour and a half to get to and then theres all the waiting around, my partner ideally wants to go on the eurostar which is £100 more expensive but it stops right on our doorstep pretty much!"! Ekkk, i just find it hard paying more for a couple days away then i do for a whole weeks holiday and then some, i know DLP is a great experience (for the kids at least :P) but still!

    Thanks all
