Crushs' coaster ( which i would not go back on again anyway :rotfl:) was 80 mins, but that's always stupidly long wait time even when it's just opened!
We went on crushs' coaster and i was in the unfortunate position of facing backwards as it went round. Even though it's a kids ride after going round backwards i felt sick for a good few hours after. I said to my now ex, if we do that again i'm not going on unless i'm facing the front...lol0 -

ditto!
The dark coupled with going backwards made me feeel reeeeally ill afterwards!
My kids however loved it!0 -
Thanks guys, I think we will stick with Thomas Cook just because it's easier to have it all done in one go - it's a spur of the moment thing so I know if we start shopping around and booking separately it will get put off and off .......... for a couple of quid I would rather be done with it.
Although I am starting now to lean towards the Sun-Wed as would hate to go all that way and not get on anything - it was bad enough when we went to Legoland this year!!
Sun-Weds would be better crowd wise. I would consider driving down the day before and getting an hotel near Paris, we stayed just off the A1 near the Airport and then only had an hours drive to Disney, ther next morning, checked in by lunchtime and straight to the parks.
Plenty of hotels for 2+2 from £40 for the night and even though it is a straight forward 3 hour drive from Calais, you have to add a couple of hours for the crossing, with check-in etc. and your drive to the tunnel/port plus all the packing etc. makes it a long day, especially for the kids. We done the same on the way back too, so we could make the most of the last day and have a leisurely drive back to Calais. Accor, B&B hotels or Novotel are all pretty good and easily booked online.0 -
Sorry a question about the character meals. We were planning on doing Cafe Mickey for lunch/dinner, a friend has said we HAVE to do the breakfast as it is fantastic. My question is it worth it? Is there more intraction with the characters at breakfasts than the other meals?
I dont want to sound mean but we have paid for breakfast in the price so I would rather put the £50 towards a nice evening meal unless the atmosphere is something special.
Thanks - sorry getting a bit excited the nearer we get to telling the girls on Christmas day,0 -

Re. the Sun offer; since when is a 12yr old considered an adult? I have a 14yr old 'special needs' child and I'm sure he would love to go to disneyland, but we've got no chance as we have a limited income and I would have to pay for him as an adult. Also we're in Sheffield so we'd have half a days drive before we even got to Dover!0

You will have to forgive me i am posting from my iphone. It's not so much the sun newspapers fault. If you were to book a stay on the disneyland website, all under 12's stay and play for free.0 -

I agree with you, and in my opinion, you see more characters, and get better interaction, going to Cafe Mickey for lunch or dinner rather than breakfast. I've done the Cafe Mickey breakfast once, and really didn't rate it (certainly didn't think it was worth the money). But we do go to Cafe Mickey every visit to DLP for dinner, and love it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner at Cafe Mickey are all character meals.

This is true - its DLP booking policy - at their hotels or associated hotels booked through them, a child is aged up to and including 11. Anyone from age 12 or over is charged adult price.0
