Its looking like we might go to the sequoia lodge, in a montana room (or is it the montana floor...?) bu I know the pool is shut next week. Are you able to swim in the pools in other hotels if the one you are in is shut?
    thanks!

usually no - but if its important to you, you could try contacting Disney by email and asking if you can use another hotel pool? I have to say, unless its early Summer we've never had time to swim at DLP.
The Sequoia Lodge is a great choice for a winter trip :).
  • Hi
I had planned to do lots of expensive meals but things have changed and now I am planning to do meals at a low cost as possible apart from our last night where we are going cafe mickey.
I have read that there are lots of buffet style places to eat in the park and hotels.
Can you please tell me where they are and how much they are. Also if in hotels can I go to them if not staying in them. finally do I need to make bookings.
    Thanks

Well first off where are you staying..? My advice is maybe to look at half board if you are staying in the disney hotels. I remember the last time we went we took a lunch box in with us at breakfast and filled that with rolls, cheeses etc which did for lunchtime. I am not sure how much the buffet resturants are at lunchtimes but i remember the buzz lightyear resturant was a really expensive lunch, something like £50 for 4 of us. We also on a couple of occasions used the Mcdonalds onsite, that wat very reasonable.

Pizza planet buffet is approx 17 for adults and 9 for kids
eat as much as you want, salad, pasta, pizza, desserts and cold drinks

hot drinks around 2-3 euros ( coin operated machine)

bring a flask and fill with hot water from your hotel kettle ( hire one or being a travel one)
then bring cuppa soups, pot noodle type things with you,to fill a gap

we bring the cups with hot choc / soup / coffee in ,you can get 8 for 99p or £1 in places like home bargains ,£1 shop

snacks and drinks are stupid prices @ Disney and it's easy to spend a fortune on food!
I would rather bring my own snacks / drinks etc

Looking for advice. We are going in Feb half term so its gonna be cold!! Do we need ski trousers etc or would thermal leggings/vests, jumpers and padded coats be enough? Also what are the loo's like - was thinking of getting all in one ski suits for the girls but just wondered about the practical side of getting these off in the loos, are they heated?

    Thanks in advance

the loos are like shopping centre ones, they are heated.
i would go with skiwear and layers (it could be freezing outside, but then on the indoor attractions/restaurants you'll want to strip off a bit!)

I thought you could use Clubcard vouchers for the Eurostar but I can't find it on the rewards website.

As far as i am aware you can't use clubcard vouchers on the eurostar. You can however use them on Eurotunnel.
