  • Hi,

Thinking of booking for Feb Half Term but as there are now 5 of us we are looking at Davy Crockett as opposed to the Cheyenne were we have stayed before and have a few questions.

1.Do the cabins have any heating?

    2. What time is the pool open until?

    3. I understand you have to drive to DLP from Crocket but where do you park and how far is it.

    4. Do you still get the Extra Magic hours when staying here?

    Thanks in advance.

Jus out of interest, what car did you have and how much was the fuel there and back..?

People mover! Ford galaxy diesel - I guess about £25 - £30 from Calais to Paris and same again on way back. Plus tolls were about €20 each way.

    1) Yes, they are very well heated with wall heaters - you will not be cold there, I promise you.

    2) This week it was 3pm until 10pm but it does vary; you would be best checking with the DCR.

    3) It is about a 7min drive. You park (for free) on the main Disneyland car park and it is between 5 and 15 min walk into the park depending on how close you get (the car park is huge).

    4) You certainly do get EMH.

Hope that helps - we have stayed at the DCR 6 times now so anything else you want to know, just ask :D

just got back from DLP would like to thank everyone for there advise and support we had a brill time loved it so much never seen my daughter soooo excited and even I cried when i saw the first parade!!!!

Would recommend it to anyone - yes it's expensive to get to, and even more so when you get there ( alltough we took 8oo euros we only spent 200!! by making sarnies as directed on this site and taking lots of drinks and snacks) whille we could easily afford to pay for meals in restaurants, I ust could not see the value for money - me and OH regularly go oout for a meal and will think nothing of spending £90 + because were getting something really nice however as me and DD are veggies this would never happen - infact I don't think DLP have heard of Vegies!!! examples of the choice were - fish and chips and sea food risotto!!
Pleased we never went half board!!

  • We too have just got back. Flew home last night.
It was Fantastic! The weather was great (No rain!!!) and we weren't affected by the strikes at all. Wouldnt have even known they were going on to be honest.
With regards to the food, what we did, was have a HUGE breakfast, then had an all you can eat buffet around about 2-3 pm each day. And I know there are rumours that you cant eat as much as you like even though that is how they are advertised. Well that is not the case. My partner has a HUGE appetite. We went into Buzz Lightyears Pizza planet, and he had THREE helpings of main (Piled up high) and THREE deserts! And about 4 cokes. That was all for just under 20 euros.
We took 545 euros with us, and spent the last of them on the plane home.
We ate in the park every day (was there for 4 days), had extras like pop corn, cakes etc, bought souveniers for everyone AND presents for friends and family.
Also, anyone thinking about doing the character dinner in Lucky Nuggets Saloon - It was definately well worth it! We went there on Thursday which was my daughters birthday and she got a special 'Happy Birthday' message in her autograph book from Mickey. You have fantastic interaction with the characters and the kids love it. Especially when they sit down with you and try to eat your food and drink your drink. The kids think it is wonderful.
If anyone has any questions they want to know, please feel free to ask. Especially as it is all so fresh in my mind.
We stayed in the Radisson Blu Hotel which was also fantastic. Couldnt fault it at all.
Will we be going back??? Yes, definately!

Is there any chance of adding half board when we arrive?

We are going as part if a large party (50), arranged by the large supermarket chain where some of us work. We didn't opt for the half board deal when booking but can't see how we can add it now for just our own group of 10.
The more I find out the less I know!

    Hi

I'd like to take my daughter to DLP before she's 3 to make use of Eurostar's free before 3 offer. This means going sometime in May or early June. The Eurostar website doesn't allow me to check that far ahead of costs so does anyone know from experience when's the cheapest (and most appropriate) time to go during this period?

I do have Tesco points but the airmiles only goes to Paris (from what I read here) and don't want to make the journey much longer than needed.

I am thinking of staying onsite (Santa fe or Cheyenne) but again don't know how much it'll be then. I will need to compare it with staying off site but need to account how much saving I'll make and compare to the time I'll add travelling.

Oh I'm thinking of doing 2 days/3 nights.

Any tips welcome.. have already gone through about 14 pages of this thread but doubt I'll get through all 220 pages!
