I'm getting really nervous now about our impending trip (25th oct) asked travel agent about adding on half board to our B&B and it was going to cost £360 !!!!! kids are only 5 and 7 so I don't think we'll possibly eat that much lol. As we haven't travelled since all the new regulations have been put in place - what sort of things can i take with us to eat in our cases (we are flying)? can you take jucice in tetra packs??

I'm so confused and worried that we'll end up on the streets starving with no euro's to buy food for the rest of the holidays after buying 2 coffees and a coke on the 1st day, is it really that expensive or are there places to get things at a decent price?

I'm going on 26th and having the same feelings/thoughts as you. You might find this site helpful regarding taking food etc. ;)

    defra.gov.uk/corporate/contacts/food-farm-qa/

If you scroll down the page, you will see the following quote
"I am travelling from / to another EU country. Can I bring/take food with me? Yes, the free movement of all food between EU Member States for personal use is permitted."

I'm taking lots of dried foods with us and coffee/tea/hot chocolate sachets. This can all be packed in your suitcase apparently.

You can also pack in your hand luggage enough for your journey.

Which Hotel are you staying in?

    Hi

We're looking to travel in mid-March but although the 40% discount is advertised we can only get 30% off Santa Fe or Cheyenne. Is this because the 40% deal only applies to the more expensive hotels? Does anyone think it's worth hanging on to see if there's a better deal? Is it worth an extra £31 for 5 nights either along the Rio Grande or near hotel facilities? I think I prefer the Santa Fe as it will be easier for 5 of us to mix & match with beds. Best price is £445 for 5 nights at the moment. We think we'll have 3 days in the park & 2 in Paris so wonder if we should bother to change hotel & only pay for 3 days at the park hotel. Any ideas?

The travel agents are ripping you off i would have thought. my advice would be to go on the eurodisney website and do a dummy booking at the hotel you are staying in on the same dates and see if it is cheaper. If it is ring disney direct and see if you can add the meals over the phone. A tip is to always book through the site direct as in most cases its cheaper. If you also go here http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=77

They can probably help alot more

Sequoia lodge is fantastic, i have stayed there twice. Great character interaction and the log fire at night, is totally relaxing, more so with a beer in hand :)

Fletty. I done a dummy booking for you,for 2 adults and 2 children under 7 and the half board works out at £222 for a 3 night stay. Total price without insurance is £1456.

The same for 4 nights would be £296 for Half board making a total of £1829.

My advice is if you can, get the half board, yes it may sound alot but it's cheaper then you were quoted, the resturants at the sequoia are fantastic. As for individual prices off the menu i can't advise but if you goto the link i posted earlier i am sure they would have it :)

We won't be driving as we are in the North West.

We drive every time we go (currently about to go on our 5th visit in 2 years) and we are from the North West too. Dead easy, honestly. 5.5hrs to Dover (including stops), hop on the ferry and then 3hrs from Calais to Disney. Costs us less than £150 including tolls.
  • Hi

For anyone going to France very soon check the news becasue there's a lot of unrest and strikes over there. Apparently there's problems with petrol distribution so make sure your petrol / diesel tank is full before leaving the UK.

    Good luck!

we filled with petrol here because with the rubbish exchange rate it is cheaper

As for the strikes I would just make sure mega loads of nibbles in the car x x
