  • Hi everyone, I'm new on here and I am going to DLP with my famiy 2 weeks tomorrow! :j

We are sooo excited, but very anxious too!

We are flying with flybe (at 7.15 am:eek:) and staying in the Radisson Blu Hotel. We have B&B accommodation for 3 nights and park tickets for 4 days. Our flight home is late on Frid (9.15 pm).

However, we are now trying to budget for the trip. We thought that £500 (545 euros) would be enough for 2 adults and 2 children of 3 and 6 yrs but it doesnt look like that this is going to be the case.

The shuttle from airport to hotel is going to be around 120e and it looks like if we go for the buffet style meals they are going to be in excess of 100e per day! And thats without buying lunch or souveniers.

Any tips please would be gratefully received as really stressing over it now as worried we wont have enough money. My parents have offered to lend us some but as they paid for the trip in the first place (thank you present/daughters birthday present) but I dont really want to be borrowing money if I can help it.

Thank you to anyone who can help in advance.
  • oh, sorry, one other thing, do they speak English in the parks/hotels/restaurants etc or are we going to have to learn French very quickly? :o

Suzyqet, look around before you decide on where to eat, in the frontierland down near the river boat, there's a little restaurant that does chicken strips and chips for about 7 euro's, also pork ribs and chips for about 9.

They do speak English, some very minimal English but enough to understand you. I got by on nodding and smiling the whole time lol

    Oh, thanks Lyndach.

That puts my mind at ease a little.

What is the price for the buffet at Buzz Lightyears pizza planet? Do you happen to know?

I didn't see a buffet there (might have over looked it) a pizza was about 8 euros.

Oh, ok, thanks. I've read on a few sites about the new all you can eat buffet??? Still, 8 euros is affordable. :)
  • We have just booked for NYE booked the eurostar and Explorers hotel. I did this separate for 2 adults 2 kids 1 youth and a baby for £1000 for two nights three days so are now just looking for cheap tickets does anyone know where I can find them. I would say to anyone to look at booking the transport and hotel separate as you will save loads. When I looked on the disney website it came in at over £2000. Also the Expolrers hotel is great for large families and has a free shuttle bus running into the park every 15 mins. Eurostar was also a bargin as they do an all in one price from most of the country now.

If anyone can let me know about cheap tickets that would be great
