Quick question Disneylanders. Looking at going December 16th-ish. Are the parks open later during that time? Hoping to catch Fantilusion and Christmas lights etc.

Maybe even fireworks but the callcentre cannot confirm whether they will be happening at that time.

    Anyone heard anything?

there are no fireworks at DLP in December until December 31st. emweaver is right - Fantillusion/Christmas shows/tree lighting etc etc are all performed every day in December, regardless of what time the park closes. If you want to get an idea of what the park hours may be on your preferred dates, go to the official DLP site, go to the calendar, and scroll back to December 09 :).
  • Thanks folks. Grrr I want fireworks lol! Thought they did them all over the crimbo period. I can live with just fantillusion etc I guess!

I'm thinking of going over the New Year this year. Has anyone been at this time? Just 2 of us (adults). I'm wondering whether it is worth staying outside the park so that we can do something else in the evening.

I've never been and don't know what it is like so have no idea what to expect. Any advice from Disney veterans is greatly appreciated. I was planning to go last January and never made it! :(

Wow what a fab time we had despite the rain it was still warm so didn't matter. Went to bed on tuesday night in dlrp and woke up in halloween central - it was lush and orange. Bought a lush trick or treat mickey pumpkin and some other bits great.

Loved the buffalo bill show was great and food was reasonable for mass catering

Cafe mickey food was gr8 especially the creme brulee yummmmmmmmmmmm

Sequoia lodge was fab not that we were in it much

If you are hoping to get toy story 3 stuff dont wait til you get there as unless it is buzz there isn't much at all and with the euro being so rubbish it wasn't at all cheap (Buzz was 69.99!!!!!!!!)

Looking to go to DLP in Jan 2011. Having looked at prices etc it seems that booking through Eurostar might be the cheapest way of doing a hotel/tickets/transport package, plus I can also book for travel from Ebbsfleet which is quite close to me.

However, as its not an option on the Eurostar website, is it possible to book the character breakfast and/or half-board meals seperately, perhaps through Disney at a later date?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you book it all through Eurostar, and Eurostar as the travel agent can't book the character breakfast and half board meal plans, you can't add it later. You can pay on the day for the character breakfast, but you can't get the half board meal plans at all if your travel agent can't offer that service.

Are you sure its cheaper as a package with Eurostar? Disney have just today brought out an offer of up to 40% off their hotel/park tickets package, then you can book Eurostar separately.

Does anyone know if you have to buy a park pass/ticket for a 15 month old?

no you don't - any child aged under 3 years old doesn't need a park ticket.

We are trying to do Disneyland Paris as cheap as possible (having not booked early enough so missing the offers!!!).

We are booked in to stay a a Premier Classe hotel in Bussey, having stayed in these before they are fine for just getting our heads down as don't plan on seeing much of the hotel!

2 day tickets for DLP is the big one now, am I going to do any better than attractiontix and quidco? Has anyone used them before and was it all OK. I think my main concern is that they are e-tickets and if it rains they may fall apart so we can't use the Fastpass machines - may have to laminate them!!!

    Cheers for any hints!

(also heading into Paris for a day between days in disney - anyone know if we avoid the queues if we pre book Eiffel Tower?)

Guys I have recently booked a trip to DLP for the family early next year and are going to surprise the kids at x-mas with a Disney rucksack full of Disney goodies and a countdown calender etc.
Im after a DVD of DLP if possible so that they have some visual aids as to what is coming.
I know they used to do such things and in the digital age we could probably watch something on-line, but I would much rather have something to put in these rucksacks.
Any ideas or advice would be great

    Thanking you all in advance
