Just looking for a bit of advice. We are going to DLP on 8th December, with our one year old and our 3 year old. We have got thick coats, layers etc, but having read the posts on the Sun holiday thread, I am starting to panic and think that we need ski wear! Have any of you been at that time of the year, and how cold was it? Thanks in advance - don't want to have 2 freezing cold children lol.
i think the kids would be best in skiwear to be honest - you have to remember that you'll be spending most of your trip outdoors, and also it gets very cold once the sun sets. I had my daughter in a ski jacket and thermals at the very beginning of December at DLP last year, and she needed them. you can get a 15-day weather forecast on accuweather.com, so you'll soon be able to get an idea of the temperatures etc during your visit.0 -

check the weather. we found the cold isnt that great a problem, as there are always places to warm up. we didnt have skiwear, but just made sure we had lots of layers, so vest, long sleeve T, sweatshirt and winter coat on top, jeans sufficed on the bottom half, but thick socks and boots were a must, as its your feet that feel it the most.
however, it does rain alot in paris in december, and that is the biggest pain, as there is very little cover, and getting wet means you feel the cold more. its also very cold, icy rain, and can be quite blowly, so umbrellas arent suitable
i would suggest taking something chill-proof to sit on tho, as its quite tiring for little ones to stand, waiting for the parades to start, and if your bottom isnt adequately protected from the ground, when you sit on the kerbs, the cold soon sets in - we use those kneelers that gardners use, as they are lightweight and easy to transport

ski wear is a must IMO
its much colder imagine and then some!
esp as your children are so young and will spend a lot of time in a pushchair ? so not walking round to keep warm
when we went at that time of yr in 2008 i only brought a ski jacket for me ( full set for the kids) but wish I had sallopettes as my legs were freezing even though i have leggings under my jeans lol
definitely warm socks needed too
those little handwarmers and footwarmers are a good idea also0 -

we usually book a premier inn £29 room @ Folkestone ( 2 ad 2 ch)
you could book 2 of these ?
In France they tend to do rooms for max of 3 people, some do accomodate 4 though0 -
Hi
We've just booked a 4 night trip to DLP next March. We're planning to travel by Eurostar & would like to spend a day/night in Paris at the end of the 4 nights at DLP. Any recommendations for a cheap family hotel in Paris would be great! Also, I can book Eurostar from London to DLP for £278 but could I travel independently into Paris & then pick up the Eurostart that we would have got on in Paris? And what would be the cheapest way to get into Paris of this is possible? If I try to book it as 2 trips, London - DLP & Paris - London, it would cost £347 and booking just for London - Paris costs £262 but then we have to get to DLP & pay separately for this. Please help!

Hi
I have a couple of questions which I hope someone may help answer:
1) I thought it was free for children under 3 to travel free on Eurostar. Is this true or is it 3 and under? If the latter is true, I can try and take my DD for her 3rd birthday next June.
2) On the Eurostar site, it looks like the cheapest tickets available are those which are to Paris only and not DLP. These are £69 return. If this is true, what difference is it price wise and time wise if I book to Paris then train to DLP as oppose to direct to DLP generally?
Grateful for some help!

it is free for children under 4 to travel on Eurostar - but they don't get a seat. you would also have to travel to DLP before your daughter's 3rd birthday, as once she is aged 3, she is not free at Disney.

you can get the £69 return seats to DLP from London, but generally you need to book early to get these seats (you can book 6 months in advance on the website). The price of the seats on Eurostar increases the later you leave it to book. You can also go via Lille, the price is often cheaper doing this, and you only change the once at Lille, then straight on to DLP.
Grateful for some help!
