Worked out cheaper for us to fly too. I think it made it more exciting for my nephew as well. Took a taxi to Disney from the airport which I would never do again. The driver went to other terminals to look for more passengers! Took the official coach back to the airport which turned out to be great.0 -
just incase any one else wanted to know, buffalo bills tickets are up on the disney website now for bookings after 7th november, and ouch they are expensive!!!
gone up in price to
£50.20 adults /38.10 children for 2nd category seating
£60.20 adults / £48.10 children for 1st category seating
does any one else know what the charge will be on the door? as i am wondering wether it may be better paying when we get there? though it is meant to be cheaper in advance than on the door, and if thats the case i dread to think how much it will be to buy when we get there in january!MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
hi,
We are booking to go in mid november but i am really in a quandary about which hotel to book. There will be myself(i will be 6 months pregnant) my hubby and 3 year old daughter. I have read lots of reviews and i dont know if its really worth paying more for staying at the new york. Cant really afford the disneyland.
Is the santa fe really that bad?
Help anyone?
thanks

we stayed at santa fe end of february this year and didnt have a problem. room was basic but decent sized, clean and warm the rooms are seperate to the main hotel area (resturant/shop/reception etc) so you have to go outside to get to those areas from your room etc, but wouldnt have a problem staying again.
We are going to the sequioa lodge next january, the only reason for this is because it will be colder than we went this time, and as we have booked montana rooms, will be in the main building, plus it has a pool which we fancy using this time round
dont forget between the hotel new york and santa fe there are hotels between these price brackets also (cheyanne, sequoia lodge, newport bay etc) you need to consider :
do you want to be nearer the park so you can take the little one back for a break in the day (and yourself) if so then SL and HNY are closer, though the others are still in walking distance.
do you want a hotel with a pool (ie sl, hny, npb) though check if they are open as some of the pools are being closed for refurb at certain times
do you want a hotel you are in the main building etc, multiple resturants or just one etc etc.MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
I assume they would operate as normal hotels, could you ring or email them to enquire?0

Friends who have travelled to Florida have told me that as they travelled around the park with their family photographs were taken & they were able to purchase them at a later date. Is such a service offerred in Paris & if so how does it work?

Need some help:D
First time visitor to DLP.
We're looking at going Feb half term, and possibly again in late July. However this query is simply about Feb half term visit.
First off we are a couple with three children, 12, 10 and 8. We can fly, get the train or drive. The advantage of taking the car is that we can stay further offsite therefore possibly getting cheaper hotels?
As this is a first visit do people generally recommend 2 or 3 days?
Suggestions towards type of ticket, travel, hotels, etc gratefully received0 -
thanks for the response Anna.
We have booked for the disneyland hotel on the 18th nov for 3 nights. It was more expensive but we thought we would push the boat out given it will prob be our last hol for over a year as i am pregnant.
Anyway just wondered if anyone can help with these please:
1- We have gone with the free meals package. However our daugher will just be turning 3 so she hasnt got meal vouchers. We were planning to eat in the buffet type places- will they let her eat in there or will i have to pay? If so shall i buy the meal vouchers before we go?
2- The timetable for shows and parades isnt on the site yet but we have been told to book restaurants now. Dont want to miss the parades and fireworks though so does anyone know what time the evening ones are?
3- finally!! Is the wild west show suitable for my nearly 3 year old or will she be bored?
Thanks everyone

Under 3s eat free at all buffets so this is your best bet if you dont want her eating off your plate or having to buy a seperate meal.
The meal vouchers you get with this offer though at lunch its a counter service lunch ie burger and chips etc but then are fairly large so you will be able to share this with your 3 year old.
We always book before we go, having said that we go in 2 weeks and havent booked yet. I would look around at the places you may want to eat and then book. Take a look at disboards forum, its the best place to get fantastic advice.
Ive not been to the wild west show so cant really help. I guess it depends on what your 3yr old is liking sitting for long periods of time. I do know however that mickey and friends have now been added to the show so instead of it being just cowboys etc there are now charaters involved too.
Hope this helps.0
