  • Hi all - I came back from Disneyland Paris lastnight so thought I'd post what's going on in case anyone is going over soon. We travelled over on the Eurostar which was a very smooth and easy journey. We paid extra for the Disney Express and checked our luggage in at the train station at Disney and they were taken straight over to our hotel so we could go straight to the park. Highly recommended as you do get extra time in the park. My main point would be the price of the food. Be prepared it is expensive but not as expensive as I thought. We paid extra for the half board plus which gave us 27euros against a meal for lunch or dinner. If the meal is extra you pay the difference. Main meals on average are around 30 euros a person and you get a starter, main meal and dessert. Drinks are not included and a soft drink will cost you about 3 euros and a pint of lager 6 euros. If you want a burger and chips this is about 11 euros for a child and 19 euros for an adult. Food and drink does add up so I took cartons of drink from Tesco and Fruit Shoots which lasted the three days otherwise a bottle of pop is 2.50 euros (2 euros if you buy it from the train station). We did lunch with the Princesses which I highly recommend. Expensive at about 53 euros for adults and 27 euros for children but we offset one of our half board meals against it. The Princesses came around and we didn't have to queue. The meals as well were excellent - I even took pictures of them!! Wine is also included for adults which made a nice change! Queues for the rides were impressive. Only had to wait on average 15 minutes which compared to Legoland where on average a ride was an hour I was very impressed. We had plenty of chances to get characters autographs. Be aware though that for characters like Mickey, Minnie and Winnie the Pooh they have organised queues. Some charactrs, especially when they get of the party bus or parade etc are a free for all so be prepared for a crush!! Some rides were closed but not many ad it was nice to be able to take my 11 month on some rides - Aladdins flying carpets, Dumbo, Pirates of the Caribbean to name a few. Mot of the merchandise can be found in the Disney Shop back here as well so if your looking to save money on presents - buy them when you get back or before you go!!! Princess Dresses for the girls are £25 in the Disney shop and 45 and 75 euros in Disney. We bought our DD her Snow White dress before we went. Al in all we had a lovely time. It was well organised and I was impressed with the rides and the queing time. If anyone has any questions just drop me a PM and I'll answer if I can. To anyone who is going soon I hope you have an excellent time xxx

We are thinking of going for 4 nights in October before school half term. 2 adults, 1child and 1 infant. Also thinking of taking advantage of the current offer of all meals provided for free and looking at going to the Hotel Cheyenne via Eurostar. Where are the best place to get a booking for this as the Disney official site looks way overpriced ?

Also will the vouchers for mealtimes be enough to cover ourselves ? Hope for some good suggestions so I can book this break in the next few days.

Disney official site is ALWAYS the cheapest for the accomodation and tickets, however when you book transport with them, they become expensive. I always book direct with Disney and do the transport seperately.

We go october half term and it worked out cheaper for us to fly than go eurostar. Costing around £200 for 2 adults and 2 children then around £97 for transfers fro cdg to disney

Went into a travel agent today and they couldn't come close to the online price via eurostar and disney direct. Looks like I'll be going ahead with the separates booking.
  • I would recommend the half board plus meal vouchers. They do save you money as many meals are around 30 euros plus per adult. You don't normally get vouchers for the last day of your stay though but I'm not sure if the same rule applies with the current offer. Might be worth checking!
