    Hi everyone
You may remember I posted in Feb to say that we'd had a disappointing time due to numerous ride closures/breakdowns. I'm pleased to say that DLRP have replied to my complaint letter and have offered 8 complientary 1-day park passes for use in the next 2 years! That's a generous gesture - totals to £328 if one considers the adult pass will be £41 from April. As a family of four, it will get us all into the parks for 2 days.

Now the problem: we like to stay at the Disney hotels for a)convenience, and b)the extra hours. As I understand it, the packages all include park tickets so as things stand, I won't be able to use the complimentary passes. If we book a non-Disney hotel we miss out on the extra hours. Does anyone know of a way we can use the passes to reduce the cost of a package? If not then it might be best to sell on the passes to a family that could use them.

not stupid those DLP chaps are they !!

    Hi there,

Inspector Monkfish, can I just ask where you sent your letter of complaint to? I have sent a letter via email to dlp admin, the correspondance address on my booking form, an address in Doncaster (sure that one was made up though to get me off phone!!) and have yet to have a response from anyone after two months.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks :rotfl:

Hi, as a noob to the world of DLP I wondered if anyone has any advice on how to plan our one day in the park?

We go in May half term week and are staying about an hour away.

Only looking to do the one park with a DD ( daredevil daughter ) aged 9 and SS ( scaredycat son ) aged 6.

Any advice gratefully received regarding which rides to do first, where to watch the parade, how to smuggle those ham and cheese rolls into the park!!!

    Many thanks in advance.

Hi, I am going to book to stay at dlp in Sep and can't decide on whether to book the Davy Crocket Ranch or the hotel l'elysee val d'europe, price works out the same for a party of 4 adults and 3 children in either 2 bungelows or 2 rooms....can anyone give any comments on either of these? I do have my twin girls (age will be 3) with me who are a bit of a handful so any tips regarding them would be great!

    Thanks for any help

We stayed at the Adagio apts £44 p/night with Expedia, that was 1 bed room , with 2 fold down beds in the living room. 1 minute from Val De Europe shopping centre.

you wont get round everything in Disneyland park in one day ,but with careful planning you can do a lot ( but be prepared to have sore feet and be shattered ! lol)

    Get there before opening !
Plan which rides you definitely want to do
    Faspass where possible : http://www.dlrpmagic.com/guides/practical/disneysfastpass/
your bags will be checked upon entry, but they arent interested in your ham baps lol

    Have fun

this site is fab for any Qs / info : http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=77

If you are only there for one day, the best thing is to plan what you really want to do,

If it was me, I would head for frontierland and do Thunder Mountain, followed by Phantom Manor, then into Adventureland and do POTC (a must IMO) its a 10 minute ride once you are on it, then walk to Discoveryland via Peter Pan to pick up a fastpass for later (providing the machines are open) then into Discoveryland and do Buzz lightyear, back into Fantasyland to do what you can there, Tea Cups, Small World (10 minute ride), Snow White and Pinocchio, then onto Peter Pan with your fastpass.

Depending on what time you arrive, the above, and stopping to eat, will pretty much use up your day, as you will probably want to see the parade, which will then leave you some time, to walk down Main Street USA.

1 day is really not enough, as there is so much to do, eg. The dragon under the castle, skull rock and the swiss family robinson tree etc.

Hi Rachie and Sodamnfunky, thanks for the advice.

Yes, I realise one day isn't long enough but DLP wasn't our real reason for going to France - just an added bonus.

Hopefully we will enjoy it so much we will plan a return visit in the not too distant future.

We are staying at Berny Riviere too so plenty of other things to do in our week.

    Thanks again.
