Hi Guy's,
Just back from EuroDisney, Paris, stayed at the Santa Fe Hotel and have tried to take in as much info as possible during my 5 days.
If you need any help or advice then post on this thread and I will try to answer.
We were a party of 5 with a Granny, Grandad and a 4 year old and all had a ball.
Ta,
N.
hi , hope you had a great time , can i ask how you travelled. We are flying in may and then getting the tgv from cdg to mlv so any info on the trasnfers would be great0 -
I'm back!
Studio Tram Tour was shut due to freezing weather the week before bursting the effects pipes, was disappointed about that, I'd say that's a main thing in the Studio's, but couldn't be helped. It is expected to be fixed so don't worry if you're due to go, it should be open.
Tower of Terror is superb, it didn't fail to frighten me to death no matter how many times I went on it, I was screaming and telling my 7 year old to hold on but he was grinning with his arms in the air!
Crush's Coaster's also really good, I expected it to be more of a nice little ride but I actually screamed on that aswell!
We had never been in Cinemagique before so tried that and I thought it was really good, special effects.
Never got to watch the 15 year light up celebration thing at 7pm because no-one else would stay to watch it, I really wanted to and you could see the castle later on was all lit up and twinkling, I would imagine it would be a good one to watch, it's every night so you could watch it once.
Little one got loads of autographs and photos with characters (taken by us, not bought!), we also took photo's of us on the screens when we came off the ride rather than buy them as they are so expensive.
We stayed in the Jesse James in Hotel Cheyenne, unfortunately there was a school trip staying there too so didn't get as much sleep as we needed!
We made rolls at breakfast for lunch and filled bottles (you can fit the bottles under the machine if you turn the nozzle) so saved a fortune, then went to Maccy's every night for tea (very healthy for the kids!) which cost us just under 25 euros each time - 4 euros for a Happy Meal, 6 odd euros for a value meal, the Royal Cheese burgers were quite nice and only 1.95 euros.
We managed to keep within the budget of £300, that was with getting a few hot chocolates, the kids getting something (about 12 euros each), a few tokens for the arcade at night (god knows why!), in fact I found 9 euros at the bottom of my bag when we got home, typical!
When we got to CDG we were approached by a taxi driver but told him we were heading for the TGV (we wouldn't have made the cheaper one though), we bargained him down a bit and he took us for 100 euros for 8 of us so 50 euros for each family which wasn't too bad, took half an hour to get there but took us straight to the Hotel, he also picked us up on the last night for the same price, very reliable and friendly.
Well, in all honesty I think we've overdone the Disney thing now, for us to go again there needs to be a lot of new stuff, like a whole new land or something. We ended up trying to kill time, 4 days is great if it's your first or second time but probably too much when you've done it all before.
I am now ill with flu (although it wasn't as cold as expected at all), my nose and throat were made worse by the dry heat in the room I think. If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in0 -

Glad you had a good time. We got back early this morning - about 2am.
The tram tour was running again yesterday but dd wanted to spend our last day in Fantasy Land so we didn't go on it.
We found Tower of Terror worse than we thought! DD(7) hated it!
I was sat between her and this woman I didn't know, and the woman and dd grabbed an arm each, cutting the circulation to my hands!!! :rotfl: On the bit where it stops and then goes again, the woman said sorry and thanks for letting her cling to me, just as it went off again and she did the same thing again!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Did you get the scary Bell Boy by the lifts - dd didn't know whether to take him seriously or not! he kept taking one or two people in and out of queues and moving people around, and was generally quite intimidating (acting, of course, not really!)
I liked Crush's coaster but dd and dh hated it.
Boo to your lot for not wanting to see the 7pm show (I can't remember how to spell it!) The castle was amazing - well worth standing in the freezing cold for half an hour (and boy, was it cold!) We didn't do it until Thursday night and I'd have gone again if it was earlier in the week.
We were in 'Annie Oakley' and that was fine - is 'Jessie James' further down as the schools seemed to be at the bottom? We thought they were a bit of a pain too but mostly in the restaurant. Some were fine and others didn't seem to be supervised at all!
Loads more people seemed to be stocking up at breakfast - it's bound to happen with the exchange rate I guess. We did this time too and saved a packet.
I can't believe you were trying to fill in time! We had 5 days and could easily have spent another few there! Although it is only our second trip with dd2.
Oh well, back to reality I suppose!0 -

People say take the breakfast rolls for lunch - can you eat in the park or do you need to go to the picnic area outside the park? I'm thinking of taking loads of food & drink but then thought - what do you do with your bags when on a rollercoaster?
My husband wants to take the camping stove & has already put in an order for chicken curry on the first night! The smell might be a bit of a giveaway in the room.
Have just got hold of 'The Brits guide to DLP' today from the library - so far it looks really useful, but I'm sure I'll be back on this board for further advice.

You aren't supposed to eat your own food in the park but nobody bats an eyelid if you do! In fact, they check your bags at the entrance but aren't looking for food as we had clear sandwich bags full of 'breakfast rolls' and they weren't bothered in the slightest.
We ate it on a bench mostly, but on one very cold day, we bought two hot chocolates on one of the cafes and ate at the far end of that! It was the Au Chalet de la Marrionnette in Fantasy Land as it has tables a bit out of the way and is nice an warm.
It can get very expensive if you only eat park food!0 -

I don't know about the Santa Fe but the park is lovely and quiet! The longest queue we had was 15 minutes for Autopia.
All the Fantasy Land rides and Buzz Lightyear were pretty much walk on.
The bigger rides were 5 or 10 minutes (sometimes as much as 20 but not often) and the fast passes weren't operating much as there was no need.
It's a great time to go!0 -
Hello all
I am looking to book a summer break for Eurodisney.
Heres the rub, I have 7 kids. So thats 9 of us inc me and the wife.
Who do you all book with? Direct or package?
Any ideas for my set up? Would need interconnecting rooms, or a house hire.
Thanks
