Thanks all, anyone have a view on wether pre-booking a meal at cafe mickey will be essential - it will be 25th or 26th Feb, both mid week days.0

If you are using half board vouchers, you can have a character meal in the Lucky Nugget, I believe.
Most people like Cafe Mickey. We walked past there last week, at about 8pm, and it was very busy but the characters seemed to be spending a good while at each table.
It's very expensive though - you are looking at £30 a head for adults and £16 for children with the current exchange rate!
But worth every penny when you see the smile it puts on lo's faces and the food is nice too. Its a once off so definetly worth experiencingWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

I would say to book as it can get very busy and if your not pre booked you can be waiting for ages!Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
Yes we have indeed booked Sequoia for 4 nights in September. Can't wait to go.
I have no doubt that you will not be dissapointed - Sequoia is a great hotel.
But next time, save yourself a few quid, and book Cheyenne.
Its pretty much the same, but without the extra cost of a swimming pool. Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

No harm in booking, but they do hold some tables back for those that want to book on the day. Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

mustbemoreorganised wrote: »hi, we are going on 25th Feb for two nights for my daughters birthday treat. I want to book one of the character dining experiences. I have looked the the website and the one I am interested in is dinner at cafe mickey. The cost is £21 for adults and £11 for kids, does anyone know what you get for that, is there a set menu you eat from and does it inlcude drinks. Do the characters come out all of the time or at set times during the day.
Has anyone had the birthday tea for £13 in the lucky nugget?
Many thanks
Hi
We returned from Disney a couple of weeks ago and had a meal at Cafe Mickey. The food was good overall and the kids enjoyed it. The one downside was that there appeared to be only 3 cast members dressed up at any one time but they did change costumes while we were there. We prebooked but it was in the school holidays.
The kids menu was pizza, chicken strips etc. My two had pizza but the chicken strips looked the best. We had different starters, all very nice inc. garlic mushrooms and soup. Main meal was pasta with veg, fish and chips and steak and chips and the desserts we had were caramel apple and mini desserts with coffee, which were very nice.
If you are going just to meet the characters then I would say that you would meet more in the parks as there were plenty around.
There is also a Macdonalds in the Village and the food was a lot cheaper, though it was busy.
If you can, stay in the park until it closes as most people head back to their hotels and it is much easier to get on rides with only a small amount of queueing.0 -
Hi
They also make a fuss in Cafe Mickey if it is someone's birthday and the characters go up and hug the child and everyone sings Happy Birthday. I don't know if they will provide a cake or if you supply your own but you could get one in the hypermarket at Val D' Europe which is just up the line from Disneyland and takes about 5 minutes.0
