Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Hi All
Travelling tomorrow via Lille to DLP. I can't recall how tricky the change over at Lille is, we are limited to only 25 minutes turn around..is that too tight, I was advised it was ok when I booked, but with Security checks etc, I am now worried
We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel. Is the hotel busy at the moment, does anyone have any "lucky" stories about getting a bump to a refurbished quiet room. Do they do anything extra for kids at the hotel now the characters have been removed from them ? I did read someone had small soft toys on arrival
also, how is the part at the moment, have the numbers returned to normal following what happened ?
Final question, is a meal plan worth it ?
cheers0 -

do you have a through-ticket (ie did you pay one fare for both trains outbound?). If you did, and you miss your connection at Lille international, they should put you on the next TGV going to Marne La Vallee.

the hotel is very busy at the moment, no more standard rooms bookable this week as far as I'm led to believe. No extras now that the characters have gone from all the onsite hotels.

yes, as far as i'm led to believe its business as usual at the DLP parks now, ie quiet in the week, crazy busy at the weekends.
Final question, is a meal plan worth it ?
cheers
no, meal plan isn't worth paying for at DLP.0 -
Thanks for the replies.
Yes it is a Eurostar purchased ticket, so the cost was inclusive of the TGV to Lille. Is it easy to transfer ?
Is the Meal Plan worth it. Looking at the Menu's v the Premium plan there seems little to gain and we might as well just pay as we go to ensure the flexibility, some nights we might like room service - we did before - so what do you think ?
Will we be ok walking our cases from the Train Station to the Disney Hotel. I know we will get searched, but don't want to have items like snacks confiscated.
cheers again0 -

if you needed to, you'd go to the TGV ticket desk on the concourse and they would sort it out for you.

you won't have snacks confiscated, its perfectly fine to take them in your luggage and into the parks, just no glass bottles, alcohol, or metal cutlery etc.0 -
Hi guys,
I'm off to DLP this weekend with my daughter and of course i'm mega excited (my daughter has no idea that we're going yet but i'm sure she'll be excited when she realises where we are going!)!
So i've got a couple of questions.
Firstly, i've booked reservations at Cafe Mickey to have breakfast but the website doesn't mention any prices? I'm staying at the Dream Castle so i don't think we get any discounts so i was wondering what the going price is? Does anyone have a rough idea?
Lastly, i know it's going to be crazy busy this weekend so is there a method of getting 'Fastrack' style passes for certain busy rides? I remember going a few years back and some of the queue times were close to 2 hours which for me personally is a bit much!
Thanks in advance for your help!0 -

this site should give you all the answers to your questions-
http://www.dlpguide.com/
the restaurant menu section will give you prices, and the rides section should tell you which of the rides in both parks have fastpass lines (fastpass is free at DLP, but not all rides have the fastpass facility).0 -

Hi. So for the last 2 years, I have been to DLP, booking a package holiday (flights, hotels with half board).
I’ve stayed both times at the Sequoia Lodge (Golden Forest Room) and paid c£1,800 for 5 nights, all in. I found the Sequoia’s onsite restaurant to be just right and the perks associated with the Golden Forest rooms to be a nice bonus.
This was for 2 adults and 1 child (6yrs) and I went in late July (East Midland’s Summer Holiday period)
For 2016, I am looking for similar or better but want to try something a little different.
With the characters no longer visiting the hotels, these on site hotels have lost the 'edge' for me.
So, the main difference being an ‘off park’ hotel but one that is still reasonable close to DLP.
If I can get everything I want but at a better overall cost, then I will be happy.
My main criteria are:
5 nights / 6 days stay
I still intend to fly, BHX to CDG
I will probably buy the Annual Passes (Classic for 135Euro seem ideal choice)
So main variable is location and standard of hotel.
My ideal hotel would have all of the following:
Around 20min shuttle ride from Hotel to Park
Hotel room to be very spacious with good quality fixtures and fittings, with plentiful kids TV channels
(A one or two bed apartment with separate living room and kitchen could do the trick?)
Family facilities on site – kids pool, play park etc
Adult facilities – Gym, steam room, Jacuzzi etc
Hotel offers half board options and standard of food to be good.
Or hotel close to an area that offers a choice of family friendly restaurants (if we choose not to eat in the park itself)
Any recommendations will be gratefully received.

lots of hotels and apartments in the val d'europe area with their own shuttles buses or you can use the free one which goes back and forth fairly frequently between DLP and val d'europe. I'd start with traverepublic or hotels.com, search for disneyland paris hotels, and see what takes your fancy in the val d'europe area.
Be careful about your Classic APs though - they used to be called the Francillien, they have a lot of blackout dates, and unless the terms and conditions have changed, you can't use them for park access at all on days 2 and 3 after you've purchased them. You also can't access EMH with these AP's, but you can with both the Fantasy and Dream APs, even when staying offsite.
Depending on the dates of your stay, you might find onsite with a good discount offer for free kids etc could work, combined with getting APs for all paying guests over one adult per room and free kids. Its all about crunching the numbers.
If you're still looking for 5 nights in late July, the best onsite deals won't be out yet, and I definitely wouldn't consider booking it all in a package with flights - source the flights yourself, and does it have to be Birmingham? I fly Easyjet from Luton into CDG as its much cheaper, better flight times, and its still less than 2 hours drive from home (I'm in East Mids).0
