  • Hi,
I am planning on taking my children to Disney Paris but I want this time to be different...
Previously we have stayed in the Hotel New York, This was/is the preffered hotel. But whats the "Disneyland hotel" like? Is it really worth the extra money?
Also - We've only ever stayed in Disney. It's a standing joke that I've been to Paris 6 times, and never seen the Eiffle Tower. How easy is a venture out? I noticed there was a train station at Disney. Is this easy to navigate (Bear in mind, I get lost on UK motorways!!!)
    Thanks in advance

Thinking about going for our 'summer holiday' next June.

Travelling as 2 adults, a 4 year old and a 23 month old. Will the 23 month old really slow us down and prevent us and the 4 year old from going on most of the rides?

I've only just started looking, but can see that there is a promo for buy two nights get two free and free child places, so 4 nights and 5 days comes out at £595 which seems very reasonable. Is it?

We'd spend a could of days in France before and after on our way down. Has anyone else done this and do you have any recommended places to go via? We live in Plymouth and have gone over to Roscoff before and driven to the Vendee which we enjoyed, buts its in the wrong direction, and I worry that the North coast wont have the weather to warrent being by the coast?

i can't help with travel around DLP, but the 4 nights for the price of 2 offer is a good one, and you might even be able to upgrade later if a discounted offer with free half board comes along.

your 2-year old won't stop you going on many rides that your 4-year old could go on, I wouldn't have thought. It will depend on the heights of your children when you go, which rides they can go on with you.
  • Hi everyone! I have finally managed to talk DH into going to disneyland Paris- I suspect this will be a once only happening so I want to get it right! we have 4 children (11,8,7,1) at time of travel, we have to go in August next year. I would like to be onsite so we can walk into the park and back if one or more of the children need a break. I am going to book the free nights offer currently advertised. I am looking at the Santa Fe or the Sequiola lodge- any good? reviews seem ok, do they have kettles in rooms does anyone know? thinking of taking some pot noodles with us! I will take a double buggy and lots of snacks- food is going to be a big expense I think and one of my children is a really fussy eater :-( We were also thinking of a couple of days in Paris itself after/before disnsey. Which way around would you recommend? Any recommendations on places to stay? I am not keen on driving around central Paris so a hotel/appartment/travelodge type accommodation near a metro stop might be a better idea?
    Any help/ideas very gratefully received!
    Thank you.

you are aware you'll need 2 rooms at the Santa Fe or Sequoia Lodge for your party size, yes? Santa Fe does have a few family rooms but they are rarely included in the discount offers.

If you are driving, you'd probably be better at the davy crockatt ranch, your party would all be in one cabin then, with scope to cook as well, and store your food. In August your best strategy is going to be hitting the parks early, and leaving in the middle of the day for a break, then going back in for the evening and Dreams late at night (the main park won't close until after 11pm in August).

Kettles aren't the norm in French hotel rooms, although you can hire one from reception in all the onsite hotels at DLP.

Is there any reason to go on a weekend, rather than all midweek?

We are looking to stay at Sant Fe, what is the difference between the standard rooms and those 'near facilities' or 'along the rio grande'?

Does that just mean its less far to walk? What is the rio grande?

    Thanks

no no no - avoid saturdays at all costs at DLP - its stupidly busy compared to weekdays.

there is absolutely no difference between the standard rooms at the Santa Fe and the "near facilities" or "rio grande" rooms, and I wouldn't pay any extra to stay in them. Regardless of where your room is at the Santa Fe, you're no more than about 3 minutes walk at the most from the reception block or the Rio Grande river which takes you to the Village and the parks.

I've just booked for June. I was forced into an upgrade in Santa Fe as there were no standard rooms available. Still, £650 all in for 4 nights for the 4 of us seems reasonable.

I've now going to book the direct to DLP Eurostar and the price has gone up £85 since lunchtime.

Is this train likely to sell out in the next few months or can I afford to bide my time and hope the price comes down or a deal comes up? Is the price likely to come back down?

Its currently £365 for 2 adults and a child (free toddler), but was £280 earlier on, as the return train was a lot cheaper.

the price won't come down for the direct Eurostar, it will only go up as more seats are sold. You could wait and book indirect via Lille International, 90 days before your return travel date, this is no hardship really, easy to do.

Hi, booked to go next week, Eurostar, forgot to add Disney express. Would I be able to still add it or the cost not worth it? Staying at SL. Thanks for the help.
