    Xmas Saver!
When the new brochure comes out in Nov I'm going to book for March 2017.
Has anyone been on St Patrick's Day. I can't decide whether to go that week or the following week. It falls on a Friday and I'm worried it will be super busy.
My son has ASD and won't cope well with really large crowds, which is why we are going before the Anniversary Celebrations start in the April.

Was there for St Patrick's Day this year. It was busier than the other days - loads and loads of travellers there but a great atmosphere!

    Hi,

If anyone can help, I am going do a lastminute to Disneyland Paris and just wanted to know from people who have booked on the French site which I am planning to do and transport separate.

Is booking via the French site ok? If you can complete the transaction.

Thanks. Desperate to cheer the kids up.

We have just come back. Had no problem with booking on the french website. Its identical to the UK one (except the prices!) so yu can have the UK page open at the same time to navigate. On two one-park, one day Mini tickets, we saved £15 off the £111 price on the UK website. Make sure you get the right tickets as they make the one-park tickets hard to find. theres a button at the bottom of the main ticket page that takes you to the one-park area. One park is easily enough for one day.

As others say, take your food in. burger and chips for 4 = 41 euros!!! drinking fountains readily available for filling bottles and avoid E4.50 for a can of coke!

Enjoy - and one final tip - get your space for the parade at 4.45. Any later and its mayhem!

oh yes - and parking is about 15 euros per car. Easiest way to arrive (i dont know about prices) is by train as the station is right outside the door.

i wouldnt count on getting out and getting a meal somewhere else as the parade finishes about 6.30 so you'll get to the gate at 7ish. The rides are all open until late and so i would have something in there and stay for a bit longer to get your moneys worth on the ticket.

Instead of using the French DLP website, try ticketmaster.fr and click English. Same prices as DLP website, and you can type in British address at checkout, just search for Disneyland or Disneyland Mini to find your tickets. The discounted (franciliene) tickets must be purchased at least 1 day prior to visit, you can print them out at home. Do not buy tickets at the gates, absolute rip off - we bought online 4 daily tickets for one park for only £127 (Billet Mini 1 Jour / 1 Parc, 2 adults and 2 children), at the gate it would be £207 at last week's exchange rates.

We went to DLP just last week: 2 adults and 2 children, driving from Henley-on-Thames (30 miles west of London), including overnight accommodation and breakfast at a nice hotel in Paris 4km from the Eiffel Tower, Eurotunnel both ways, French toll charges, hotel and DLP parking, and car fuel = £359. Plus meals and souvenirs at DLP, plus a few € for public transport around Paris, lunch on Champs-Elysees, and 10 bottles of lovely Beaujolais-Villages from a local supermarket. ;)

Take as many snacks with you as you can, not only because of the high prices at DLP (bottle of coke €3.59, popcorn €6, kids pizza meal €9, adult pizza meal €15, salad €8, etc.) but also because of long cues, especially at lunchtime - you just end up wasting valuable time standing in cues.

If driving, try to get to the car park (€15) at around 9:30am - long cues to get in, and then it's a bit of a walk to the main gate. It gets really crowded from around 10am. Try to get a good spot for the parade by 4:45pm (the parade starts at 5:30pm), it's a good time to sit down and recharge your batteries. I think the park is open till ~10:30pm, and lot's of people (especially with younger kids) leave straight after the parade, so it's significantly less crowded from 7pm.

The kids absolutely loved it, planning another trip in May next year. Well worth it (relatively expensive, but probably the best spent £359 ever), just book everything in advance at the right prices.

it shouldn't be a problem, maybe just call your bank first as its a foreign transaction. I've never had a problem using the French, or Belgian, sites to book onsite for Disneyland Paris.

    Hi
We are going in October to celebrate dd 21st birthday
We are looking for other special things to book.
I've heard you can book VIP tickets to watch light show.does anyone know if this is true?
    :D

yes i think you can still do that, although its very expensive (199 euros each as far as I recall). if you contact DLP guest services they should have the up-to-date information - or join the DISboards for DLP, there are lots of regular DLP-goers there who would be able to advise you.

Grateful if I could get some advice on driving from UK to DLP. I am booking for late November and we can't justify the train cost on top of Disneyland Hotel. I'd like to know best route from London to DLP and any finer points anyone wants to share are most welcome. Cheers

We've just driven from Newcastle Upon Tyne. Drove down, stayed at one of the nearby Premier Inns to the Eurotunnel. We booked well in advance and found the tunnel excellent - no delays, straight through, really easy.

I have Sygic navigation on my phone and just selected the route to Disney for that. We had some cash (or used the Halifax credit card) to pay for any tolls on route. The drive on the motorways was no problem.

    Good luck!

We go to DLP between 4-6 times a year and have a Liber-t toll tag. No need to stop at the peage station fishing for coins or cards, we just slow down through the lane and the tag gets detected, lifting the barrier automatically. There are orange reserved lanes too on most inside lanes which make it an even quicker process using the tag. Payment is via DD the following month. There is a small charge involved, but we find it more convenient.

If anyone is interested, details can be found using the link below.

Never needed to phone them, but they are based in Harrogate, so no language problems.

Edit: There is no application fee if you go through the Eurotunnel site with a valid booking ref:
