Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Thanks balletshoes. You advised me about the Sequoia back in early 2014 and as a result, I’ve been there twice already!
Yes, I do hope they sales are still to come, as when I price up the package I wanted, it’s coming in at just under £2,400 and I would hope to pay circa £1,800 (same as last 2 years).
The details of what I asked for are – Mon 18.07.15 to Sat 23.07.15 (5 nights). Sequoia, Golden Forest Lake Side View with Half Board Plus Meal Plan. Flights from BHX, departing BHX at 0920 on Monday and departing CDG 1235 on the Saturday.
I am excluding cost of airport parking and transfer as these costs would be the same, whichever way I booked the holiday.
Also, I like BHX as it’s an hour less journey time than Luton and the Sat return time is better. If I flew with Easyjet from Luton, then the return flight time on the Sat would be much later.
I have looked at doing everything separately and this is what I currently see:
Annual Pass Classic – 135E x 3, c£315. Not too bothered about losing EMH, blackout days seem to fit and I would buy them well in advance so the day 2 and 3 rule is fine too.
Flights - £201. Depart 15.25 from LUT, Depart CDG 21.40. (My ideal flights with Airfrance from BHX would be c£400)
Hotels – I have looked at hotels that provide as a minimum Free Wifi, a Pool and free Shuttle to DLP. I have also narrowed down to those in the vicinity of DLP and Val De Europe.
Cheapest I can see that looks acceptable is around £500 - Aparthotel Adagio Marne la Valle Val d'Europe
The most I would ever pay is £1,000 - Radisson Blu Hotel at Disneyland® Paris is currently £746.
So if I take the more expensive hotel (Radisson), the total package price comes in at £1,300.
This a good £500 cheaper than my target price of £1,800 at the Sequoia but the £1,300 excludes any meals, no fast passes, no EMH and location is not walking distance to the park. Also, the airport location is further away and the flight times are a little worse.
So the decision is close between the 2 options. If I could get a Radisson type hotel but for c£500, then I think I’d be onto a winner. I would then actually be happier to pay the extra £200 to fly from BHX. Or save the £200 and change the holiday to less days or Sun to Fri instead of Mon to Sat.
Anyway, thanks for the advice, I’ll need to do more research and keep checking prices.
If there is anything else, I should consider or have missed, do let me know.0 -
Hi all,
I'm a newbie around here.
We have found out we are expecting twins, and have always wanted to take our daughter (4 in Feb) to Disney. If we don't go before the bambinos arrive, then it'll be a good number of years before we get the opportunity to go again.
I've priced up a couple of deals to go in Feb, either staying at Sequoia Lodge or Newport Bay - can you tell me is either of these better than the other? The prices are roughly the same.
Also, this seems like a really silly question, but do they do the fireworks in an evening at Paris? We have been to Florida years ago and loved the fireworks displays - I'm sure our daughter would love them too but I can't seem to find any mention of them. If they do, are they daily, or do we need to plan around the right days?
Thank you so much in advance for any advice you can offer

are your prices for both hotels similar standard rooms? if they are, in Feb I'd go for the Sequoia Lodge, it has more of a wintery forest feel to it. Newport Bay is more of a summer-themed hotel.
Yes, there is a fantastic fireworks/water/lazer show over the castle in the main park at Disneyland Paris every night at official park closing time. Its called Dreams! and its definitely worth seeing (more than once).

Hi we are going to the Loire valley for a week in July but are planning a two day visit with overnight stay in Paris so we can do 1 full day in the city and a full day at Disney. It's something we always hoped to do with our son as we went to Florida and did all the parks before he came along. Unfortunately we've never been in the financial situation to do it until now he's going to be 11 we have decided to push it so this is our last chance for it to still be magical if that makes sense? I'm just after tips for best place to book tickets for just 1 day and is a 1 day 2 park ticket worth it? We'll also be taking our 13 year old nephew who is deaf (only relevant because he has a pass type thing that gets him discount to some places here so wondered if Disney do that sort of thing?) and there are 2 adults. Hubby is in the forces so I'm also going to look on the forces discount places too. We wondered about taking in a picnic - I've seen you can but if the lockers are miles away and it means trekking back to the beginning it seems a waste of the little time we have! Just any general tips to make the most of it would be great 0

Hi, can anyone help me find the best price for Disneyland Paris in march, two adults, two children (both aged 3) during the week, 3 nights/4 days, flights from Cardiff and staying at sequioa lodge (golden forest rooms). Cheapest price seems direct through Disney website but not totally clued up on howhow/where else is good to check, thanks0

it depends when in July you're going to France - if its after 5th, it will be very busy every day (and even more so on Saturdays and Sundays) because thats when the French school holidays start for the summer. But if one day is all you have, then you'll just have to make the most of that day, from 9am to 11.30pm! Keep an eye out for park tickets, after April for July dates (DLP changes its ticket price twice a year, April and November, valid for around 6 months at a time).
We'll also be taking our 13 year old nephew who is deaf (only relevant because he has a pass type thing that gets him discount to some places here so wondered if Disney do that sort of thing?)
yes, your nephew will get an access pass if you take proof of his medical condition with you - take it to City Hall in the main park to get his pass.

you can certainly take food into the parks with you - but theres nowhere to store it unless you want to be charged to leave it at guest luggage services at the entrance to the main park. There are no lockers at DLP.0 -

source your flights yourself, and check the other versions of the official DLP site (ie Dutch, German, French, Italian, Spanish) - see what they're offering for your dates. Each country gets its own offers at different times of the year, but regardless of where you live, you can book using any country's offer.0 -

I think that must be what I read about earlier in the thread! we paid for one at Alton towers and it was worth it but it was easy to get to and there were no queues so wasn't a drama wasting time going back to it.
I hadn't realised the parks stayed open so late - I'm sure I saw on the website 8pm - is that when rides shut? So would you say go for a 2 park pass?0 -
Hello, just been reading through and am I reading it right that the characters don't come round the hotels anymore? Silly question but does this apply to the Disneyland Hotel?? Gutted if that's true Wins this year : Product of the year goodie bag, bath in fashion experience :j0
