Hello, just been reading through and am I reading it right that the characters don't come round the hotels anymore? Silly question but does this apply to the Disneyland Hotel?? Gutted if that's true

officially they have left, including the Disneyland Hotel.
However - this year (2016) is major refurb year at DLP, getting the rides and hotels etc refurbed and ready for the 25th anniversary celebrations which will start in April 2017. So, at the moment, I believe that some characters are around the onsite hotels, but what I would say is, that as officially they have all been removed and relocated to the park for Extra Magic Hours, if you do stay onsite and you do see characters in your hotel, treat it as a surprise bonus - no guarantees.

I think that must be what I read about earlier in the thread! we paid for one at Alton towers and it was worth it but it was easy to get to and there were no queues so wasn't a drama wasting time going back to it.

I hadn't realised the parks stayed open so late - I'm sure I saw on the website 8pm - is that when rides shut? So would you say go for a 2 park pass?

July is high summer season - the main Disneyland park will be open until 11.30pm every evening (and most rides in that park will be open to ride until 11pm) :). Although I love the Studios park, if you're only going for one day, in July, in school holidays, you might be just as well staying in one park, unless its the same price for a park-hopper compared to a single park ticket.
  • We are staying in Paris for a week in April from the 1st - 8th and are planning a day or possibly 2 in DLP with our boys. There will be 4 adults and 2 children 10 and 9. We have visited before but always staying at Disney and the tickets came as part of the package whereas this time we are visiting Paris with a trip thrown in to Disney.
I wondered what is the best way to book tickets, there are several for sale on selling sites but unsure and so many of the cheap tickets seem to go up to the 16th March even though if I go mid week my dates are classed as off peak????

the winter discount ticket prices only go up to 16th march this year, as easter is so early. So you'll need to wait until after that to see if anything cheap comes up for your trip dates for park tickets only.

    Hi
We are visiting in a couple of weeks and I am just thinking about parking.

We have annual passes(fancillien) which I believe if you wanted to add parking it was 30 euro's. We did not do that as we stopped at the explorers which included parking.

When we go now, we stopping in the kyriad which does not include parking.

    My question is:-
I have seen on a few sites, annual passes get you free parking so does mine?
If I want to add parking on, can I do it when I arrive there at the entrance? As I am going for around it week it going to be cheaper!

    Cheers for your advise

your AP is now called the Classic, and no, your AP doesn't get you free parking in the DLP main car park. You can add it for 30 euros though, on your first day there.

Is it the Kyriad at Disneyland Paris you're staying at? It shares the same free shuttle buses that service the Explorers to the DLP resort bus stop, so you'd be able to use that instead of parking at the main DLP car park (which is literally across the road from the Kyriad hotel)?

On the French site it looks like it's only 10-15 euro dearer for the 2 park but I'll wait until closer to look again thanks. Due to working in a school I'm stuck going in the main holiday! Managed to get a sun break because we have 2 days training that most schools are open for!
  • Hi all, my little girl (7) and I are off to Euro Disney on Thursday we have the meal plan booked for most of the trip (Thurs - Sun) but due to easyjet flights we are flying home Sunday morning and we had to book into a diff hotel for the saturday night. So I have 2 questions: cheapest place to eat and I don't want to miss out on anything so any tips for making the most of our time there?
Make £10 per day in May £89.29/£310
  • CCardiff. We travel to Disneyland Paris once or twice a year from Cwmbran. The first time we flew from Cardiff but have since found it better to book direct with Disney (online or by phone - always had very good English spoken) for hotel, meals, tickets etc and book Eurostar tickets separately. Cost is about the same as flying but time and hassle wise it's so much easier.

We use coach to London the day before, book a small hotel near St Pancras, and get the direct train in the morning. Doing it this way you can be in the park by about 1.30 - it's directly beside the railway station.

You just need to book Disneyland express for your luggage and they take care of it all including giving you your tickets on the train, transporting luggage to and from your hotel and storing it til you collect it.

do the rides as much as you can on Thursday and Friday, because Saturdays and Sundays at DLP are regularly stupidly busy. Concentrate on the shows on the weekend days (they are large capacity and so you don't need to queue for ages to get in). Don't miss Dreams fireworks show over the castle (try to do this on Thursday or Friday) and the main parade in the park. You can download the park programme on the official DLP site before you go.

You can eat in The Village cheaply (if its just to fuel up) - theres McDonalds, Starbucks, Earl of Sandwich, pizza/pasta from the Sports Bar, and there are table service options in the Village too if you prefer. Theres also a patisserie inside the train station at the entrance to the parks, and a Relay/Casino convenience store to pick up drinks/snacks etc.
