  • Yes, we're a family of 4. I was thinking the VEA would be the cheapest but will now be rethinking that. I'll defo have a look into the above sites. What about a train from CDG, I've heard that mentioned on reviews?

    Many thanks for the advice

So, Rstransports shared shuttle seem to be the cheapest but are they reliable have seen a couple of negative reviews but positive ones too. Some people saying they booked a shared service and didn't even have to share with any other families. BUT..

I'm staying at Dream Castle at it isn't even listed in the drop down menu for hotels but Magic Circus is... so what does that mean? If it's going to MC it surely would go to DC?
I think I'd be able to input the address myself but shouldn't it already be listed?

i always use rstransports, always book shared shuttle price, and have only once ever had to share with another party (we arrived early at CDG, I called rstransports and they arrived within minutes in a minibus with the other party already seated).

Some of the onsite and partner hotels are not listed on the dropdown - it doesn't matter, for example the Magic Circus and Dream Castle share a postcode, and you can leave a note on your booking that you're going to the Dream Castle.

I wouldn't do the train (TGV high-speed) from CDG to DLP, because when you factor in the walk from your arrival gate to the train station inside DLP, plus waiting for the scheduled train to arrive, it can take longer than the VEA (and it can be more expensive too). Its by far the quickest way of getting back to CDG on your last day at DLP though, so it might work that way if the train times fall in with your flight departure time.
You can check train times/fares with raileurope or sncf.

Many thanks for that. You are super helpful. I don't know what we'd all do without you:):)

Yes, one review I looked at said rstransport is the cheapest and easiest so I don't think I'll look into the train option. Highly likely I'll book Rs now I know it's fine for DC.
  • Thanks Belletshoes for previous reply. I am still undecided so looking at options at the moment. I had a look on the French site and would save a lot of money (£1,000!)booking the same package with them but feel uneasy as it automatically puts your country of residence as France - is this likely to be a problem? Also the current deal on the UK site finishes tomorrow, does anyone know what the next deal is likely to be, should I wait and see as not travelling until July?

honestly, if you are using the official DLP site, .fr, to book, there is going to be no problem - I've done it myself more than once in the last year :). If the French site price is one you are happy to stick with, in my opinion you should book it.

No-one knows what the next range of offers may be, I know last year for July dates on the UK site there was a good offer of free half board and up to 30% off, so maybe have a think about what that price might be based on the UK prices now for your dates in July - if that would be better than the price you have now on the French site, it may be (and I'm only saying may be) better waiting for another offer.

And remember, half board is only worth it if its truly free - because otherwise you can eat more cheaply than the half board plans cost at DLP.

    Hello
First timer for DLP here. I have been looking on the French site as Balletshoes advises and was hoping for some advise please :-)

I am looking for 2 adults, 1 x 8 year old and 1 x 5 year old. I would prefer not to go in school holidays due to it being so busy. I have a quote for 11 may to 14 may (3n4d) including the half board plus coming in at £692 I think (946.90 euros)

Do you think this is a good price? I really have no idea! Thank you! :-)

Edited - looking at travelling Eurostar would be £275 or the tunnel would £100 return. Can anyone advise about the costs for driving in France please.

    Thanks :-)

the price is okay - in that you're getting the half board included for free, but you're not really getting any other discount (the UK price, full price with no offers, is just over £950 for the Santa Fe for your dates and party size). I'd be tempted to wait for another offer to be honest. for example, 30% off would be around £660, and you could do all your meals for less than £300 by not taking the half board plan.

14th May will also be a very busy day at DLP, as its Ascension day, a major public holiday in France.

Ahh thank you. I added the half board plan on to our quote. It was 621 euros for 3n4d at hotel Cheyenne. Now that I know about the 14th I will look for other dates! thank you :-)
