Hi We went to DLP last May and are looking at doing the same thing again this year :). I have just started looking and have a couple of questions I hope someone could help me with.

I was looking at the beginning of May over the first bank holiday weekend for 3 nights (same as last year) but first thing I noticed is with current offer it's cheaper to do 4 nights but that will cause a problem with school... Also last year I booked at the end of February with the free half board/30% discount option which we did love and found very useful BUT do I assume that the current offer is a better value option than the free half board plan, if it comes along again when current deal ends soon?

Eurostar was available without too much trouble. However it looks like zone b are on holidays.. is this bad? Last year I think it was just zone A.

The other option is to go end of May in the school holidays but there are already hardly any eurostar seats left and cheapest fare is 560 return for the 4 of us..

So how easy is it to drive and any ideas roughly how much for Eurotunnel and tolls etc? Is parking free for the duration if we stay at the Sequoia for example?

Finally if I were to book hotel with disney direct and then next week the new offer is the half board etc for hardly any extra can I amend my booking (and if so, does it have to cost more to do so?).

Sorry for all the questions.. thanks so much in advance.

zone b holidays on their own are fine - its when zone c are involved that the parks become noticeably busier at DLP.

if you book an offer through disney, you can change it if a better offer comes along for you, without penalty or fees, as long as -
a - you are paying more money under the new offer (even a penny more will do it)
b - the new offer is from the same country as the offer you booked under (as different countries get different offers).

yes, you've got it - for hotel and park tickets i usually look on the .fr site "autres region", and if that site gives me the better deal, i book using it :).
Nice one. Thanks for confirming that.
you can use more than one voucher per day, but you can only use a maximum of one voucher per person per meal.
Ooh, I didn't even think of that option!
the vouchers are limited to table and buffet service restaurants only, and not all restaurants at DLP are included in the vouchers scheme.
    Fair enough.

    Another question, I'm afraid.
Our plan is to get there on a Friday night.
Is there a limit to what time you can show up at Davy Crockett Ranch or do they lock up?

Can we get there at 2am Friday night (i.e. Saturday morning)?

if the journey goes badly and we stop en route, will it cause a problem if we get there on Saturday morning even if we've booked from Friday?

    Thanks Balletshoes.

I think we might drive this time, does anyone have a rough idea of how much it might cost for eurotunnel and tolls etc for the journey?

Is the parking at the Sequoia straightforward and completely free?

Balletshoes, do you think the current offer is one of their best offers and that we should book to grab this offer rather than waiting to see what comes along next?

    Thanks again :)

Edit: I've just checked the Ile de France and if I've done it correctly its saying 1150€ instead of £1184.72 on the UK site... does that sound right (like JimmyTheWig the under 12 free suits as better as we have a 6 and 8 year old)... that works out to be £830 if I'd done that right which is a fab price?! Am I right or wrong, lol?

They don't lock up and Reception is supposed to be manned 24/7, but we never tested that theory when we stayed there. There is always security at the gate though.

Never came across anything that gave a latest check in time in the umpteen occasions we stayed there.

My advice is don't stop en route unless you really have to! I know people who have had bad experiences in doing this (and it's only a 3 hr drive anyway).

Channel Tunnel costs around £110-£130 return at the moment for a short stay saver (5 days max), the ferry is cheaper (although they have recently increased costs due to fuel surcharges). My Ferry Link is usually the best ferry deal, followed by P&O, then DFDS.

Tolls cost around 20-25 euros each way (depends on the day and time of day).

Parking at Disney hotels is free if you have a booking (excluding the main car park).

    Thanks Gels that's really helpful.

When you say 'excluding main car park' can you just clarify, do you mean the main 'DLP' car park and not the 'hotel's' main car park as such..? Thanks

Sorry will try to explain, If staying at a Disney hotel, parking is free in the car park belonging to your specific hotel, located beside your hotel - but not in the large main DLP car park, located elsewhere.

Follow the hotel signs (which don't lead to DLP main car park) for specific hotel parking. There will be security on the gate of your hotel car park who should check your paperwork and let you in, where you park for the duration.

It's not as difficult as I made it sound, just make sure you follow the correct signs. You will travel on the main access road toward DLP but for hotels you take an exit on the right as you get closer - it is really well signposted. (Carrying on to the end if the access road will lead you into the large main DLP car park, if you do miss the hotels exit [but you won't] there is an escape road on the left before the pay booths).

Just been explaining about parking on the previous post with DixieP, if you don't already know (apologies if you do) car parking at DLP is free for DCR guests by showing your hotel easy pass (you get this when checking in) at the main car park pay booths.

Didn't want you to get confused if you were reading that!

Re. booking on the French disney site, can someone please also advise when I choose 'France' whether I then need to click on the link below for "autres regions" or "Ile-de-France"?

Also would I need a french address or do I just use my UK address? will the details be posted, or would I have to opt for an e.mail confirmation only or something?

It's looking such a good deal that way but I obviously want to be 100% sure I've got the right french site and that it will definitely be a guaranteed booking :O.

Sorry for all the questions... but I <3 this thread!!
