if you phone through to disneylandparis.com you only have to pay about 10% deposit and the rest later on.You may walk and you may run
You leave your footprints all around the sun
And every time the storm and the soul wars come
You just keep on walking0 -
arealbasketcase wrote: »go through quidco and then use the link to book directly with dlp (6.5% cashback)at least I reckon that's the cheapest way, can anyone else come up with a cheaper way?If you book through dlp it will show you which dates are less expensive - there is a colour coding system on the calendar once you click through the "book now" bit.
Do you know anything about the "pay for 3 nights get a 4th night free" deal? On some dates it is coming up with this offer, but can't find out which dates other than trying them all.Half board is a good idea in as much as you have paid for almost everything in advance but if you are doing Davy Crocket it would be a lot cheaper to go to the HUGE supermarket at Val d'Europe and go the self-catering route.
But it's a holiday.
I think its a bit of a case of saving hard to afford a "luxury" holiday every other year. (I know some people wouldn't consider 4 nights a "luxury holiday", but 4 nights without having to cook is a luxury to us.)Booking a character meal is pretty easy, just pop in to the town hall on Main St., and book on the day. I'm pretty sure the half-board option doesn't cover the whole cost of a character meal, you might want to check that out.
What we did last time was, from the local travel agent, booked the half board option _and_ some character meals. It was too much food, really, as we were having two dinners a day sometimes. But you get the 15% discount by taking the half board option.
So three dinners and a "cheap" lunch (which is never going to be cheap) is probably just as expensive as four dinners with the half board option, which is why we can't decide.
But if you can use the half board vouchers towards the character meals then we will definitely get the half board option and pay the extra on the days where we do the character meals.
Thanks for your helpful reply.poppyolivia wrote: »if you phone through to disneylandparis.com you only have to pay about 10% deposit and the rest later on.0 -
Hi Jimmy
you can find the offer dates on the home page you will see a blue balloon with chevrons and the message "special offers", if you click on that two pink balloons pop up, click on the right hand one and the information opens up on a new page or (hopefully) at the following link:
http://offers.disneylandparis.co.uk/special-offers/extra-day-and-night-free.xhtml?
I know what you mean about a luxury holiday being one where you don't have to cook.
My tip for the cheapest way of doing dlp:stay at the Sante Fe and book half-board or, if you need extra space, look at the my travel hotel which does the rooms for 6.book for the latest time available for breakfast in the park EVERY morning of your staybook your evening meal for the earliest time available for EVERY night of your stay (or if you are having a character lunch perhaps the breakfast could be earlier!?!)Davy Crocket is lovely but the journey to and from dlp is an extra bind, at least at one of the hotels you get the shuttel for tired feet!
If you book a breakfast in the park you get in upto 2 hours before everyone else, eating breakfast late means that you might manage to have a genuine snack later followed by your early dinner. I personally think the character tea is great fun, I prefer it to the lunch but perhaps that's just me!
I am really not sure that the half-board vouchers can be used against character meals but I am sure the guys at disney will help you out if you ring.
Just my opinion, I love dlp and I know it pretty well, and can talk about it for hours, feel free to ask me anything and I will always try to help - any excuse to talk Disneyspeak. If anything I say starts to make sense, PANIC!0 -
Five days makes annual passes a good buy. See if you can book the hotel withour tickets and buy annual passes for all. There are promotions giveng annual passes free for 3-7 year olds if their parents buy passes.0
-
annual passes give discounts too, at the mo' dlp are doing an offer at the gate, if you have a two day pass (it might even be a one day pass!!!!) you can convert it to an annual pass for an added 30 euros, not sure what sort of pass it is though 'cos there are a few alternatives!
I don't think you can book a dlp hotel without getting entrance included, it would be interesting to know the answer to that, might just have to do some research.......If anything I say starts to make sense, PANIC!0 -
If you go through someone like Expedia you can book an onsite resort without tickets.0
-
Just tried looking on Expedia, took a bit of messing around with dates to find any availability but eventually compared 3 days in early october, both prices included tickets but booking direct with dlp was nearly £100 cheaper if you booked for just two adults and £70 cheaper even if you added two kids!If anything I say starts to make sense, PANIC!0

You can use the half board vouchers towards Character meals and I have to say I'd go with this one...

Might be worth thinking about becoming a share holder for the discounts

15% off in the shops on toys, souveniers, etc.
What about meals?
And the ranch itself?0 -
15% off on the bill of the complete table in the Disney theme parks, Disney Hotels, Disneyland Golf and Disney Village except at Rainforest Café, King Ludwig's Castle and Planet Hollywood; not applicable to meal vouchers and event meals such as Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's Eve dinner; not applicable to dinner shows; not applicable to bars
Also hotels using the Shareholder's hotline but it doesn't include offers so you do need to do a lot of research as to what is the cheapest way.0
