Hi, anyone seen any good deals for DLP recently? Just decided this morning (after dreaming about my dd meeting Mickey Mouse!) that I need to do this!
We have a 4 and 2 yr old and would like to book Sept over a weekend going by Euro Tunnel. Thank you!
p.s. is it cheaper to buy the DLP tickets in advance on a website or at the door ?0 -

Hi everyone, i'm looking at going early next year on a budget and was thinking of April but saw the price difference for January and thought we might go then.
We've been a few times before but always September. My worry is is that we will be so cold that it will spoil the magic? We will be with my 4 year old and 3 year old. My son will turn 5 whilst out there if we go then which would be great.
Anyone been in Jan and have advice please?
Thanks:D0 -

Hi ya there!!
We went in March 06 (Lake was frozen over!!) was really freezing, quite bad actually, went Jan 07 wasn't as bad as March but still quite bad (we had snow), ski suits are a must (for kids anyway)..went Jan 08 and it was cold..still needed the ski suits and thermals!:rotfl: its a nippy kinda cold....got Jan 09 booked so it can't be that bad!!!:D
I don't think it spoils the magic but then again I've never been in the sun!!:rotfl: Its alot quieter than any other time of the year but in saying that I know alot of people now going in January so I think people are starting to twig on!!;)
My kids are now 7 and 3 and they both have been with us the last 3 times...no probs but as I said...they need some kind of ski suits to be safe!!
oh yeah and as I'm the earflap hat queen...its a must!!;)
Edited to say that in January 07 I was filming the parade with no gloves on and it was horrendous, my knuckles were creaking with the cold!! ..never again!!:rolleyes:You may walk and you may run

We went in march this year and it wasnt too cold its the same as the weather here. We had heavy rain one evening but other than that it was warm. Even the rain didnt spoil our funWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

I know there's this massive thread on this, but I can't really see anywhere that gives suggestions on how to book and save money.
We're looking at going to DLP next spring. Probably March to keep the cost down, but April / May / June would be nice!
We want 4 nights / 5 days. Preferably Monday to Friday.
It's two adults and three kids (ages will be 5, 2 and 1).
Eldest will be in reception; we are going to take him out of school for this week.
We want to drive (happy with ferry or train crossing) and stay at Davy Crocket Ranch.
We will want to do some character meals. (Is it best to book those in advance, or wait until we get there?)
We are considering the "half board package", but haven't quite decided yet.
We went last September, doing something similar, and loved it. Now saving all our pennies (kids are helping, too, by putting money they find on the pavement in the pot!) to go again.
Last time we booked with our local travel agent. There must be a cheaper way?
Is it worth booking now, or leaving it a little bit?
I know nothing about booking holidays. As a kid we used to drive to the same campsite in France every year, booking for the next year on the day we left, so there was no experience of shopping around for deals.
Have looked on websites such as www.travelsupermarket.com, but the first question always seems to be "select airport".
Hope someone can help.

Hi Jimmy
go through quidco and then use the link to book directly with dlp (6.5% cashback), at least I reckon that's the cheapest way, can anyone else come up with a cheaper way?
If you book through dlp it will show you which dates are less expensive - there is a colour coding system on the calendar once you click through the "book now" bit.
Half board is a good idea in as much as you have paid for almost everything in advance but if you are doing Davy Crocket it would be a lot cheaper to go to the HUGE supermarket at Val d'Europe and go the self-catering route.
Booking a character meal is pretty easy, just pop in to the town hall on Main St., and book on the day. I'm pretty sure the half-board option doesn't cover the whole cost of a character meal, you might want to check that out.If anything I say starts to make sense, PANIC!0
