That was quick! Thanks for the reply, i'll check them out now.0 -
Thanks for the very useful reply, balletshoes.
I can't believe the Dreams show/parade is on so late! Wow! I think we might have to do that on our last night and maybe have a pre-emptive nap in the afternoon beforehand for the kids
It is going to be a great holiday, I hope. However, my (rather bonkers) 4 year old told me that the Disney part wasn't the most exciting part. What was really getting her excited was the prospect of sleeping in a caravan for seven nights (the part of the holiday before we get to Disney)! Crazy girl!0 -
Hi, Does anyone know what the Plaza Gardens is like? Would you recommend it for your main meal at lunchtime? Are there any shops near disney ( walking distance) to buy sandwiches etc for the day rather than getting them in the park?
Also my 8 year old son wants to do cinemagique and animagique would you recommend these?:j0 -

Plaza gardens is great, lots of choice on the buffet for everyone.
there are 2 convenience stores inside the train station at DLP (next to the park gates) plus there is earl of sandwich in the VIllage.
yes do both cinemagique and animagique ~ your son will love them both.0 -
Me and my fiance would love to go back to Disneyland Paris after spending a day there in 2013. We would like to spend maybe 4 nights there and we know that staying onsite is over our budget. Do you think it is possible to go, staying offsite and with purchasing annual passes for no more than £250 each with travel included?
We are available to go after 28th June until 20th July and then anytime during August. Does anybody have any recommendations or think we could do it for that price? Not including spending money of course.0 -

sorry, the cheapest you'll be able to do it is as follows (and these are the cheapest of the cheap fares, i'm not saying you'll be able to get these fares for your dates)
Eurostar £69 return each
cheapest annual pass which allows you access straightaway is 159 euros each for the fantasy pass (around £130 each). This is cheaper than a 4 or 5-day park ticket each.
then, in june/july, you'll be looking at around £50 per night, room only.
So each, at the cheapest possible prices, you're looking at £300 each.
you might be able to get the accommodation a little cheaper if you shop around and consider val d'europe or bussy st george for your hotel, but then you'll need to add on local train fares to and from DLP.0 -
Thanks to balletshoes excellent advice my DLP Xmas 2014 planning seems to be coming together.
I'll be booking the Eurostar tickets this week and we've settled on staying off site at the Adagio Aparthotel, partly because the price is so attractive but mainly because there's six of us and an apartment type accommodation seems ideal.
Our original plan of two or possibly three nights has gone out the window and we've now decided on four nights, again, because the price is reasonable and we should be able to squeeze in a day in Paris.
The next thing to sort out is park tickets. I've read so much about annual passes and cheaper ways to buy tickets but a lot of the info seems out of date. Lots of talk about French addresses and not being able to post overseas etc. What's the latest? What's the best way for me to buy tickets for my group of six (2 adults, 1 over twelve years and 3 kids)? Im not sure it would but if it helps, I have a family member who lives in France.
Finally, last question for now. How busy should I expect the parks to be on Xmas day and boxing day? Has anyone been on either of these days? How was your experience?
As always, many thanks for the help.0 -

if you have a family member who is happy to have your APs posted to their address in France, for them to send on to you, you may be able to buy them at discounted price from promoparcs or cemultiavantages. I don't think theres much point going into the ins and outs of this yet though, because you wouldn't be able to buy them until June at the earliest, for a Xmas trip. Fantasy APs are the ones you would need, as long as you don't want park access on 27th December. Check DLRPMagic for their excellent information on annual passes.

I believe Christmas Day is fairly quiet at DLP, but from Boxing Day onwards through to New Years Eve it gets busier and busier, until its rammed on 31st December.0 -
Hi all/Balletshoes, I'm looking to book a trip in October with my friend & her 11 year old daughter before she gets too old! As a single parent, budget is tight. We don't drive either. We've seen a coach holiday with Newmarket for 4 days onsite in October for £790. Do you think this is the cheapest/best way we are going to be able to go? We would like 2 days in the park & ideally in October. Any advice would be greatly welcome, thanks0

it depends - when in October, and where are you (ie can you use cheap public transport to get to the Eurostar for example?). Is 2 days park access enough, is that your preferred time period?0
