Me and my fiance would love to go back to Disneyland Paris after spending a day there in 2013. We would like to spend maybe 4 nights there and we know that staying onsite is over our budget. Do you think it is possible to go, staying offsite and with purchasing annual passes for no more than £250 each with travel included?

We are available to go after 28th June until 20th July and then anytime during August. Does anybody have any recommendations or think we could do it for that price? Not including spending money of course.

This was also the budget for my boyfriend and I, so after a lot of looking we chose to go on a coach from Folkestone. http://siestaholidays.co.uk/ offered what we thought was a good package-3 nights at the Cheyenne, 2 days park passes and all travel for £269 each. We're off in two weeks, so I'll let you know how we get on!

  • it depends - when in October, and where are you (ie can you use cheap public transport to get to the Eurostar for example?). Is 2 days park access enough, is that your preferred time period?

Sorry for lack of detail, we are in West Yorkshire (Bradford) so Eurostar would be train from Leeds to London. We don't mind when in October, were originally looking at school hols but much more expensive to looking at other options too. I think 2 days is probably enough but having never been before I couldn't say. I don't know if I could cope with more than 2 full days of theme park though! Lol

okay, so you could look into the train fare from Bradford to London for the Eurostar, with a family & friends railcard (this doesn't cost more than about £20, you can buy them with various loyalty schemes, and they drastically cut your train fares when travelling with a child).
Eurostar can be had for £69 return direct to DLP from London, slightly less for children.

park tickets are around 50 euros per person, per day, midweek.
midweek in early-mid October you could get a hotel near DLP with a free shuttle to the parks for around £50 per night, including breakfast.

So altogether, Eurostar could be £190 total
park tickets for all of you for 2 days could be around £250
hotel and breakfast for 2 nights could be around £100
    so thats £540.
I don't imagine the train fare from Bradford to London would add up to £200 (I'm in Notts and I can do it for around £60 return with a family and friends railcard).

So you could do it cheaper, more convenient, and far less travelling time, if you do it yourself.

Many thanks for all your help on that, I will get searching! Are there any hotels that have been recommended previously? I much appreciate your help on this. The thought of sitting on a coach & ferry for hours wouldn't be my favourite option! :)

honestly for 2 nights any hotel/apart in val d'europe or in the disneyland paris area will be fine :). Have a look on travelrepublic, alpharooms, expedia, ebookers etc for disneyland paris, see what comes up.

Choose midweek dates as they are always cheaper than weekends (and weekends are to be avoided at all costs in the parks).

also thoroughly check the eurostar site now for october fares - there may still be some of the cheapest prices available if you're not going in English school holiday time. If you find them, best to book them sooner rather than later as they only go up in price the longer you leave it.
  • Plaza gardens is great, lots of choice on the buffet for everyone.
there are 2 convenience stores inside the train station at DLP (next to the park gates) plus there is earl of sandwich in the VIllage.
yes do both cinemagique and animagique ~ your son will love them both.

Thanks so much balletshoes, restaurants all booked, Cant wait :j
  • Hi,

Our outgoing date has become available on the Eurostar website this morning, however it won't let me book it as it is saying there is no availability. I have been checking daily every new date that has been released is saying the same for that week. Is this normal, surely it can't be full already? Can you only book returns when travelling direct to disneyland?

    Thanks

give Eurostar a phone, see what they say, i've always found them very helpful on the phone :).
  • Thanks, I phoned them when they opened and she said they had only released dates for London - DLP up until the 12th December and it could be a month or longer yet before they are released but to give them a call every couple of weeks. Panic over. haha. :)

Sorry for bothering you all again, I was told the end of the month would be best to check for cheap day passes, where is the best place to check for deals?
