    Thanks ballet shoes.

I read it on the trip advisor forum but couldn't find any information to back it up. Glad to know they were wrong, less hassle for me :-)

Grrrrrrr Eurostar are so annoying. Trying to book direct for Dec and not available on line yet, so you can call them and pay for 0843 number (and they want you to stay on the line for a survey after:mad:) so manage to find a geo number only to find that all the cheap tix for the outward journey have already gone (for Dec 1st). Just seems so unfair that they don't publish the dates you can book for cheap fares and you have to call them and pay when they have a website for bookings. So now not sure whether to book the return direct journey as they are cheaper but have to pay a bit more for not doing a return, and then later (90 days in advance) book the indirect outward journey? They really don't make it easy do they?!!

if you want the direct back from DLP to UK, and you can book that now, I would book that now (it only works out at around £4 more per person than booking a return fare anyway). Then at exactly 90 days before travel, your indirect fare out to DLP will be available and you'll be able to book that.

Did Eurostar actually tell you that the fare for 1st December is already fully booked, or did they say something like the fare isn't available? Its just that someone on another forum said they were looking for 3rd December, phoned a couple of days ago, and Eurostar said the fares from 1st to 5th aren't available to book yet (i suspect there may be some repair works in that timeframe, and thats why those fares aren't bookable yet).

Phoned in the last hour and they said that the 1st is already pretty busy hence no cheap seats left but the 5th is ok for cheap seats! Think we'll book the direct for DLP to UK now and then wait to book the indirect for going -when they say 90days out, is that for phone or web bookings or do they offer phone booking earlier than web like the direct ones? Also, is it about €15 each for Lille to DLP as need to factor that cost in as well.

yes, i'd do that then :).
Theres no extra money needed for the onward journey to DLP from Lille - your one indirect Eurostar fare between UK and DLP includes both legs of the journey for one price. I checked my indirect fare at 90 days exactly online with Eurostar, and booked it straightaway. You can't book by phone for the indirect any earlier than 90 days out, because thats the date that the TGV fare becomes available, no earlier.

Does anyone know how easy (and how much it costs roughly) to take a day trip in to Paris from DLP?
Obviously there are trains that run from DLP regularly (not sure which station they drop at though) but is it expensive? Or are there buses that run to Paris from the park?
Also, we only have breakfast included in our stay so will need to buy at least an evening meal (x4) for the 4/5 days we are there. Where are the cheapest places to eat at DLP?
Any info would be greatly appreciated :)
  • I'm holidaying in France later on this year and am looking to do maybe one or two days in DLP. Can anybody advise on the best/cheapest place to purchase tickets.

its going to depend when in the year you're talking about - as cheap tickets only tend to be released a couple of months in advance of your visit.

i can't help you with travelling to paris from DLP i'm afraid, and for evening meals have a look at dlrpmagic's restaurant thread - they have menu examples and prices for just about every restaurant in the resort.
