Hi everyone, I used this thread years ago to organise a trip to DLP, the info is priceless. My daughter has just turned 9 now and maybe reaching the end of the magical innocent age (i hope not). We want to take her and her friend (they would have the best time) to DLP, the only time we can go giving the school situation and finances etc would be Mon 27th Oct 14. Cheapest i have been quoted through DLP is 2 adults, 2 9 year olds - £963 for 3 nights at Davy Crockett Ranch. We are making our own way there. Is that a good deal, will there be more offers later in the year. I don't fancy school summer hols, 1 too expensive, 2 too busy. Thanks in advance

i'll be honest - school summer holidays may be quieter than that week in October.

what kind of discount are you getting on your october dates with the DLP price?

i can see the Davy Crockatt ranch for a total of £876 for your 3 nights starting on 27th August, including free half board meal plan for you all, if that would work better than october.

Thanks balletshoes, thats great. Wondered if you could answer a couple more questions, really appreciate the advice.
Can you use the adult voucher to buy anything on menu or do you have to have the set menu? If so do you know how much the voucher is worth?
you will be offered a 3-course set menu with your vouchers at table service, obviously at buffet service you can pick what you like, its all-you-can-eat. You can choose from the a la carte menu at table service and use your vouchers at cash value if you like - your adult vouchers are worth 33 euros each, child vouchers are worth 15 euros each.

Do you know how I would find out if Walts and Blue lagoon are open?
if you have less than 60 days to go before your trip, you can call the disney dining reservation line on 0033 160 304050 and they can tell you opening times/days for the table and buffet restaurants in the resort.

Are there any restaurants in the studios we can use and would you recommend them?
there are no restaurants in the studios which you can use your half board plus vouchers at, no.

I understand the parade is at 5pm, do you know how long it goes on for?
around 20 minutes from the start of the parade route to the end.

And do you know what time the fireworks/Lights show is and how long it lasts? we are going 31st march for 3 nights.
Sorry just trying to get organised and dont know who else to ask! :)

Dreams at park close lasts for around 25 minutes :).

    Hi all,

I would like to take our children to DLP at xmas time but it would have to be during school term time. Obviously the school will not allow holidays during term time so I just wondered how people would go about booking DLP at xmas time without being fined?

And also is it REALLY amazing and worth going at xmas time? we have been in June before which was lovely but we are taken with the idea of a disney xmas trip.

    Thanks for your help :)

your school would be the only place you could ask about the consequences of taking your children away in term time.

xmas at DLP is wonderful, the main park is so beautiful all decorated.

Just one of the many reasons why I chose to home educate my children! Too much red tape involved with term-time holidays, even with DS2s special needs school where he went (where not much in the way of learning went on).

I'm in agreement with balletshoes, Christmas season is fab. Well worth the trip.

Not sure what discount I got for october, the lady quoted me over the phone. I cant get that price now so maybe the discounts have changed

I cant find this price on the disneylandparis.co.uk website, I can only get to £947, has it changed? am I using the right site?

if you change the room type from premium to standard cabin, the price comes down ;).

Thanks :), would you recommend booking the restaurants? Also we are staying in Golden Forest room at sequoia, do you know if it is the same characters at breakfast there as you would see in cafe micky?

Yes i would book the restaurants of your choice ~ one phone call before you go, or at your hotel reception or at city hall when you arrive.

the characters are likely to be the same at golden forest and cafe mickey breakfasts.

it won't be quiet anytime you are there because its French school holidays as well as a lot of UK ones.

The quietest days at DLP are generally Monday and Tuesday.

I don't think there are any good deals for April day tickets yet, you'd probably have to wait until around the end of this month for those.
