Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Hello all...
I would like to treat my boyfriend as he has been incredibly supportive through some tricky times lately. Despite us being in our early 30s, he loves all things Disney so I know he would love to go to DLP...And I would too
We are child free so it will just be the two of us!
We live 20 min drive from Heathrow and can go as soon as possible after 23rd May this year. What I would really like advice on are:
- Cheapest time to go (not half term? mid week?)
- Where to stay (in the park or outside?)
- How long to stay for?
- Things that will make the trip better (Fastpass, extra magic hours thing etc)
- Sneaky tips to save money!
- Where to book?
Thank you
x
if you can go after 23rd may, i'd go after 1st of June until the end of June, always midweek, and just pick which dates are cheapest for you (your travel costs might sway that more than your hotel choice to be honest).
For a first trip I'd say 2 or 3 nights would be ideal, the main park will be open until around 11pm each night, so you'll have plenty of park time in 3 or 4 days.
Check the official DLP site for price options (if you stay onsite the price includes park tickets for the duration of your stay and breakfast). There is also a current offer of up to 30% off your stay plus free half board, so see what kind of prices you're seeing, and let us know - then we can see if staying offsite but nearby would be significantly cheaper for you.
if you stay onsite you get Extra Magic Hours, and everyone who goes through the park turnstiles has access to the fastpass machines, they are free to use.
Once you have decided on a budget/where to stay/when to stay, then we can help further with how to save a bit of dosh while you're there.

Hiya ballet shoes,
I go on the 17th and have a few questions. They may be very stupid/self explanatory but I'm a worrier lol
*how do I book cafe Mickey when I'm there? I'm staying at Santa fe. Also prices I've read it's €16 per person for breakfast but how much would it be for the pizza sharing option for lunch/dinner?
* (this is my silly question) what do I need for check in? Do I take all my paperwork from travel agent etc
* were staying for 4 nights 5 days, would you say £500 is enough to take. This for food and soverniers for 2 adults and 2 children 3 and 2 years.
Much appreciate your advice x"sealed pot challenge" member 082 6-£450 7 £860 banked :staradmin :staradmin

you book either at your hotel reception, or at City Hall in the main park (you can also pop into Cafe Mickey and book there).
Pizza starts at around 16 euros for a large margherita, 7 euros for a large garlic bread (same size as the pizza lol) - heres the menu -

technically you only need your booking confirmation number - i usually take my confirmation email

yes, that should be enough money for you all.

Looking for some advice on booking the indirect Eurostar.
Should I book single journeys as opposed to return journey's as the tickets for the departure date, Mon 28/07/14 will be out a few days before the return date of 01/08/14.
I know it'll add a bit of cost to the tickets, but I dont want to wait until the Friday tickets become available to find that the Monday ones are either unavailable or have gone up in price.
All advice greatfully appreciated.0 -

If both journeys are indirect - wait for the return fare to become available.
This is because, Eurostar cannot sell you a single indirect fare which originates in France. sncf can, but are usually more expensive.
If you wait until the return indirect is available, you can book with Eurostar for both indirect out and indirect back, as a return ticket.0 -

Hi - I want to book an on-site hotel package, and have been looking at prices on the UK version of the DLP website. Price is coming in at £966 for 4 adults in October half-term at the Cheyenne, which sounds ok to me (half board plan is included). However, does anyone know any 'tricks' to get the same deal a bit cheaper? I believe DLP is on Quidco, and I've heard that booking through the French version of the DLP website works and can get you a better deal? Has anyone tried this, or does anyone know any other tricks?
Also, with the half board plan, it's only valid at a selection of restaurants. I heard I can use my meal vouchers as part-payment against a meal in another restaurant not in the selection? - is that true?
Thanks!0
