Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Thanks again balletshoes.
Hotel - Based on your advice, I'll go for the Sequoia, thanks for the insider tip.
Flights - I'lll look more tomorrow (getting computer fatigue now) but there doesn't seem to be too many options from BHX to CDG. There appears to be other airlines that service that route but according to Expedia, they are more expensive.
Tranfers - is the website for the company you mentioned - http://www.rstransports.com/ - ? Been on there and they are indeed quoting 88.2EURO. The Sequoia is not listed on their drop down list of Disneyland hotel choices but I assume thats not an issue. I can just free type in the full address?
yes it doesn't matter - you just type in the name of the hotel, and they will check with you again when they collect you at the airport.
Again, thanks for the tip on the transfers option.
Think thats all covered. Appreciate all the help and if the boss says yes to the time off, I'll be booking straight away!
good stuff - oh and remember to go through quidco when booking with the official DLP site - i believe its 5.5% cashback at the moment.0 -

Thanks for that. Just checked and yes, 5.5% which will be worth just over £100!0 -
Thank you Balletshoes!
This is what I've found from the official website:
Sequoia Lodge (Standard Room)
The price includes: Room + tickets + FREE HALF BOARD + local tax. Includes special discount (if applicable). Note: handling fees not included.
Standard Room with 2 double beds located in one of our lodges
arriving on:
Tuesday 03 June 2014
departing on:
Friday 06 June 2014
3 night(s) / 4 days
Package Price: £827.90 (*)
If I use the DLP website to add flights with BA (as they are from Heathrow) they come in at £241 including taxes and the transfer price is £64 for both of us. I've also added the Wild West Show as I've heard it's meant to be quite good? That comes in at £90. There is a handling fee of £16.
Which gives a grand total of £1307.28!
Does that sound good/bad? To be honest we wouldn't normally choose a half board option (just breakfast) but it's coming up as free.
Booking direct with BA and using my points (£40 discount)means I can get the flights (with hand luggage only) for £136.60 which I'm happy with
= DLP total of £1001.90
= Grand total including flights of £1138.500 -

breaking this down and with alternatives-
the sequoia lodge price is okay for June - if you went offsite and needed park tickets for 4 days it would cost you around £130 each just for those. £168 worth of the Sequoia Lodge price you've found is also food, so really you're paying £399 for your room and breakfast, which is alright for june. You could do onsite cheaper if you wanted to stay at the Santa Fe or Cheyenne - they are both £657 instead of £824, and both also include half board free.
How easy is it for you to travel to Luton instead of Heathrow? The reason I'm asking is that Easyjet fly out of Luton to Paris CDG several times a day, every day, and they are much cheaper than BA (at first glance, around £150 total for you both).
eta - i see you have sourced your own BA flights cheaper, so go with that and ignore my Easyjet stuff lol!
Don't pay £64 for a transfer with Disney, book a shared shuttle in advance with rstransports instead (around 40 euros or less per journey total).
And don't add Buffalo Bills tickets through DLP either - check ticketnet.fr and the french version of the DLP site for those, and don't pay more than 40 euros per person for a ticket.
The exchange rate at the moment is around 1.2 euros to the pound, so for example, buffalo bills at 40 euros each is £66, not £90.0 -

Which would you go for from the Santa Fe or Cheyenne?
oh dead easy question for me - Santa Fe.
However, the Sequoia Lodge is lovely, just that little bit more adult-themed compared with the Santa Fe or Cheyenne, its not as manic at the Sequoia Lodge restaurants, and the Sequoia Lodge has a pool.0 -

Great and thank you!
I'm sure the Santa Fe will be fine - I would like to keep costs down and I can't imagine we'll be spending much time in the room.
This all seems a bit easy though, I guess that's because the park tickets are all included with the hotel!
Do you know how the free half board works?0 -

remember quidco for your Disney hotel booking.
half board is really easy - when you check in, you will get a set of half board vouchers. you get one each per night, so thats 3 each on a 3-night stay. You can use them at any of the participating restaurants in the resort, and you can use them from the time you collect them, until the time you leave the parks or Village on your last day.
If you use this link and scroll down to page 61, you'll see the list of participating restaurants and how much they are worth etc -
http://www.disneylandparis.com/BROCHURE/SUMMER14/E/catalogue/files/docs/all.pdf
at the santa fe you get half board standard included, at the sequoia lodge its half board plus.
you also get, per night booked, an extra voucher per person for a "teatime treat" which is a free hot drink and pastry/cake.
The restaurants you can use both types of voucher will be printed on the back of them.
Have a look at DLRPMagic for their restaurant review/menu threads, to get an idea of where you might like to spend your vouchers.
eta - forgot to mention earlier - you can use one each of your half board vouchers at cash value against Buffalo Bills tickets too - if staying at the Santa Fe this would give you £22 off the full price, at the Sequoia Lodge its £28 off the full price (full price is £49). This would be the cheapest way of doing Buffalo Bills for you.0 -

where did you read that?
here is the luggage information from eurostar - doesn't say anything about labels, as you transport your own luggage on and off the train, just like any other train -
