Hi Balletshoes
Where would you recommend looking for cheap Buffalo Bills tickets?
Thanks!
Clare x
they are currently 40 euros (i think) on the French version of the official DLP site - change the country at the bottom of the home page to "France - isle de France" then park tickets, annual passes, and buffalo bills tickets come up as well as hotel packages.0 -
Ah great, thank you. I had a link to fnacspectacles.com and hubby is probably going to phone Disney direct too seeing as we have top level annual passes to see what price they offer!
Thanks!

Hi Livvipivvi
We're just come back from staying at the Cheyenne. We were in a block of rooms that was MILES (exaggeration, but felt like it first thing in the morning!! lol) from reception and the restaurant, but we were lucky that it was at the end closest to the park, so we found it easier most days to walk to the parks than walk back to reception, wait for and then get on to a crowded bus, and you have to walk a little from the bus to the park gates at the other end anyway! We preferred walking to the parks, browsing the shop in the Village in the morning when it's quiet as we stroll through, and it's what's put me off booking a partner hotel when we go in October as they're not REALLY walkable with a 4 year old. This was.
We stayed at the Dream Castle about a year and a half ago, and although the hotel itself was MUCH better than Cheyenne (Cheyenne is looking rather scruffy - needs major refurbishment!) - better rooms, beds, breakfasts..... - the shuttle buses, being shared between 4 hotels, are crowded, arrive less often, and not being walkable with a little one....well, we're looking at the newly refurbished Santa Fe now! Breakfast may still not be as good as the Dream Castle, but at the moment, will suit us better.
We'd like to return to the Dream Castle one day (as it was great!) and maybe try Explorers or Magic Circus......but current requirements favour the closeness to the parks.
Maybe took us 10 mins to walk to the parks - honestly, I never timed it. It doesn't feel long as once you've walked along the river a little way you're distracted by nosing at the other hotels, looking at the lake and the massive balloon, and then wandering through the village. Oh, and the security was quieter that way in rather than the main way in!
Hope that helps??

Hiya Clare,
Thank you for taking the time to tell me of your experience, you've been a great help
I think it will have to be onsite for us too. Sounds like it saves a lot of time and messing about in the mornings and evenings.
Is the Santa Fe further away than the Cheyenne? I didn't realise that it had been refurbished recently.
I think I may also seriously consider taking an airbed and staying in the new york. I'm super lazy in the mornings, a 5 min longer walk means 5 mins less in bed lol. I think I would be like you were walking to breakfast too lol. It sounds a lovely walk to the park from where you were though. Bet it would be a lovely way to wind down and relax before you get back to the room at the end of the day0 -
Hi all, what a great and informative thread!
My wife and I are currently looking at taking our 3 kids to DLP but having read the latest reviews on some of the resort hotels I'm not so sure now! People basically saying the whole place could do with an update, it has put an element of doubt in my head.0 -

Maybe another 5 mins to the Santa Fe? Hotel New York is ridiculously close to the village!! Would love to stay there personally, but budget dictates...!
Another thing we did - we were there for 5 nights (was a big special birthday/Christmas trip as we were there for my daughters 4th birthday...), and we basically ended up sleeping loads (daughter normally has 12 hours so we joined her!!) which resulted in us having a later breakfast and rocking in to the parks about 10/11 each day. We did early magic hours on the last day (a Saturday) and it was dark, cold, but boy were we glad we did - the rest of the week the queues had been blissful with no queue for a ride being longer than 15/20 mins - by 11am on the Saturday, no queue was less than 40 mins! We were glad to leave after lunch as it was so busy! But bear in mind that Saturday there was the Christmas theme and that was the first day of the holidays for France and uk! Anyway, I digress! I don't know what time of year you're going, but because the parks were generally quiet, we didn't miss out and got to go on everything we wanted, several times in some cases. We stayed til park closing to watch Dreams 2 times, other times we left before to eat our evening meal in the Village before it got busy. Make good use of the reservations! So we were probably back in the hotel 9 / 9.30 most evenings....
I'm rambling now, but if you have any questions about my recent trip, let me know! Have a few tips especially with regards to taking a little one!

Hiya,
My husband went to the Florida disneyland about 10 years ago, and he still stands that the Paris disneyland is MUCH cleaner and tidier than the American one. It does feel like they actually still care how the place looks! If you follow InsideDLRP (I think it's called) on Facebook, they're constantly showing pics of work being done, painting being freshened, floor being fixed, etc. at least they're making an effort to look after the place.
That's my view, and we were there a week before this Christmas....

I think FTB_Peter was referring to the hotels rather than the park itself ?
We've been to Florida 5 times and DLP twice in the last 10 years. (last time to Florida Aug 2013) My view is that Florida comes out top as far as the parks are concerned, can't fault anything at all. DLP on the otherhand, for us, doesn't have the same atmosphere as Florida, the staff aren't as polite, (some were downright rude) the parks are much smaller and i wouldn't ever go again. Several of the rides were out of order when we went to DLP, one broke down just as we got on, and queuing in the rain and cold doesn't do it for me i'm afraid. We stayed at Santa Fe and Dream Castle, though both quite good, Santa Fe more so than Dream Castle due to location.
Of course it's horses for courses and DLP can be done on a much smaller budget, kids just see Mickey Mouse, they aren't bothered about the state of the hotel or the park !0 -
Hi Ballet shoes - quick question! I've searched the last 8 pages or so for a mention of the 2 days 2 parc tickets, but can't find where they were being sold. It's not for me, but told a friend I knew a good offer! Lol wish I could find it!

it would probably have been either promoparcs or cemultiavantages - but they change their offers regularly so they may not be available right now (i haven't looked for a while).0 -
My daughter turns 7 on the first of a four night stay at disney- will she be able to get the free onsite hotel stay?0
