Our budget is 650 plus entrance tickets to dlp for 2 or 3 days. We would like to stay in magic circus or dream castle

a 2-day ticket for a child is around £90, and for an adult its around £100. So thats around £380 for your park tickets. So does that mean you have £270ish for your hotel for 3 nights?

Dream Castle and Magic Circus both seem to be around £340 for your dates, Kyriad comes in under budget at £260 (its served by the same free shuttle buses as the Dream Castle and Magic Circus).

Or theres a few hotels/apartments in val d'europe under budget - a bit further from the parks though than the Dream Castle etc, and the free shuttles aren't as frequent from Val d'europe.
  • I really wanted to stay in the new york because its the closest hotel to the park (within budget), but I've just realised that they dont offer rooms with single/bunk beds for the kids.

My 6 year old dd is a right wriggler when shes sleeping and my already grumpy 13 year old dd will be even worse if shes got to share a bed with her sister. Disturbed sleep and teenage hormones are not a good mix lol. I'm concerned that this will spoil our holiday, so I'm looking for a hotel that offers separate beds for children.

Which is the best hotel, quality and location wise with this option?

I'd set my mind on the new york because it's nice and close to the park so we would be able to pop back easily whenever we wanted.

Don't understand why all the hotels don't offer separate beds for the children. Not everyone wants to share :(

onsite, the only hotel at DLP which has one double bed and one set of bunks as standard, is the Cheyenne hotel. All the others have 2 double beds as standard.

You have more choice offsite - all of the associated hotels (Dream Castle, Magic Circus, Kyriad and Explorers) offer either one double and 2 singles, or one double and a set of bunk beds, in each family room as standard. The Magic Circus and Dream Castle are the same tourist rating as the Hotel New York.

Hi, thanks for this. Which website is the magic circus for £340? The cheapest I found was £415 on lastminute.com

Thats a great help, tyvm balletshoes :).

Another possible option that just occurred to me, is the possibility of taking an inflatable or camp bed with us. Do you know if the standard rooms in the ny would have room for one?

travelrepublic - 3 nights from 13th April - i think you'll have to go a fair bit over your budget if you want 4 nights i'm afraid, especially since if you want 3 days park tickets that will be around £115 per child, £125 per adult.

yes i'd say so - you might have to move a side table and/or chair, but there should be room for a small inflatable bed.

Thanks, we have already booked the eurostar and going for 4 nights. I didn't realise the park tickets were so expensive. Is there no way of getting them cheaper for 2 adults and 2 children

how long a walk is it from the cheyenne rooms on the rio grande to the park? is there much of a difference compared to the cheyenne standard or buffalo rooms?

not that i can think of - those are the rough prices from travelrepublic, its more expensive if you wait until you are at DLP to pay for them. Even annual passes bought on sale through French agents are going to cost at least £100 each.

Would you be interested in staying further offsite (say in Val d'europe) on your first or last day, to cut the cost just for that night? Then you could book the hotel of your choice for your DLP park days.
