Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

I went on the 21st December. I must say it wasn't as busy as I thought it was going to be because there is so much there everyone is doing different things. I am 18 years old and my girlfriend is 19 and we found it amazing, I must admit it is for kids and if you have little ones they will love it so much. I would recommend it to anyone. Even if you are older there are rides there worth going on. Christmas time is amazing, the music, the atmosphere was brilliant.0

Hi, I am looking to go to Disneyland on 13/04 until 17/04. We are only going to go the dlp for 3 days, we don't mind staying off site as long as there is a free shuttle bus. There are 2 adults and 2 children who are 8 and 9. What is he best price for us? dlp website is saying 1066, this seems expensive and way over budget.
What is your budget for hotel and park tickets for you all? It will be busy then as the parisien schools are on holiday.0 -
Hi Folks,
We are planning a family trip to Paris for sight seeing e.g. Iffle Tower, Disney Land and central Paris.
We are 2 adults and 4 children (ages 10,9,6 and 4).
Travel dates from 13/4/14 for 4 nights.
I need help with Hotels and also im looking for budget hotels not that expensive.
We are planning to go by car, is that a good idea.
Is 4 days enough in Paris and any where else to go e.g. Belgium add 1 day.
I would be grateful if anyone can suggests me a good plan.
Thanks.0 -

I would start a new thread if I were you - as you may get more relevant responses in a new thread, as your plan is not all about Disneyland Paris.

We're off on the sleeper to London tomorrow night (very excited) then Eurostar to Disneyland to stay at the Explorers hotel.
So far we have just got breakfast in our booking - should we book half board meal plans at the hotel before we go? Am thinking it may be less hassle to eat dinner at hotel each night, take packed lunches in each day...so perhaps we should book the meal plan now (apparently cheaper than if we do it on arrival)...anyone any experience of meals at the hotel?
(also should say that me and my toddler have a couple of food intolerances so buffet meals suit!)
Oh - another question - it doesn't say on the hotel site but do we pay for a meal plan for an under 3?0 -

don't pay for a dinner meal plan for the Explorers, the food isn't great at dinner there and its expensive.
there are better buffet meal options in the Village and in the parks (although you'd have to check with City Hall when they close when you are there, as it may be they are not all open for dinner).
Have a look on DLRPMagic for its restaurant menu forum to get ideas of prices etc - for buffets in DLP I'd recomment Plaza Gardens in the main park, Restaurant des Stars in the Studios, and La Grange at Billy Bobs in the Village.
There are also the onsite hotel restaurants which all do buffet dinners, and I think they are cheaper than the Explorers. You dont have to be a guest of any onsite hotel to eat there - Sequoia Lodge and Hotel New York especially have great value buffet dinner restaurants.
Under-3s eat free at all the DLP parks, Village, and hotel buffet restaurants, I don't know about the Explorers, sorry.
There are lots and lots of table and counter service restaurants too, all over the resort, which are cheaper than buffet service too.
At the Explorers there is a pizza bar which I found decent value for money if that would suit, instead of a full buffet?0 -
That's really helpful - thank you - the main difficulty we have is that myself and my toddler are milk intolerant but most decent restaurants will cater so it will probably be OK, means pizza not an option though0

I've just had a look at the other restaurants on DLRPmagic and they seem to be more expensive (maybe because the food isn't good at Explorers?)...Explorers are quoting 21.60 euros per adult for half board buffet and unlimited drinks if booked in advance.
compared with Billy Bobs 27 (no drinks)
Plaza Gardens 27 (with drinks)
Hotel New York 29 (no drinks)
but are you telling me it's worth the extra cos the food's not good at Explorers?0 -

Our budget is 650 plus entrance tickets to dlp for 2 or 3 days. We would like to stay in magic circus or dream castle0 -

in a word, yes - but if you are seeing current good reviews for the Explorers buffet dinner, then you should make up your own mind.
