Have to say whatever the team has done seems to have worked wonders. Aside from the odd one or two spam posts that have slipped through the net over the week, spam has been kept to a minimum, inevitable yet acceptable level.

How about putting a SPAM reporting button on the search results window.
This would negate the necessity for normal users to systematically open the offending posts/thread to report them. When I see many spam posts it's a real pain to open each one. It's often glaringly obvious they are spam without needing to open them all.0 -
