Jo you sure you can't afford it? Long term working in a school is spot on, I am sure you have uncovered all the stones but make sure you found them all before you decide!

    Well done mm :T

Ray, I'm sure if we pull our belts in so tightly that we can bearly breathe and live 'old-style' for the foreseeable we'd be able to find a way. I've just rung the school and confirmed that I will be going to the interview, so this weekend is a weekend of budget sheets - I've already warned DH

I think it could pay off long term I really do, I know its easy for outsiders to see but you have such long hours, huge travelling costs, childcare etc that a dent in it may be helpful. Remember to ask at interview if they help with childcare costs caus local authorities could be a better employer that way.

I should shut up now I am just happy that you got this far!

  • i agree with rayday, that is exactly the reason why im going for a school based job, so that i dont have to pay for childcare - thought i had the solution with me working evenings and weekends but it has just ended up that we dont see each other, which cant be good for the family!! whatever you decide jo im sure you will make the right decision for you and your family x

Still not heard anything about the job:sad:

Ive decided to not bother saving up for the telly, as I think its a bit unrealistic, however I may use Noggins suggestion and wait till just after xmas in the january sales and see if i can get it any cheaper;)

Not worked out my savings yet but it should go up considerably by the end of the weekend;)

    Hope every1s ok

    Nog, you heard yet?

Aww never mind MM, sometimes they do take a while to sift through the CV's and send out letters so don't get too disheartened yet x
