morning all, hope every1 is ok today, hows every1 doing on the job front? I keep checking my councils website every day but theres nothing suitable a t the mo, im probably better off waiting till after xmas now anyway!! Still not managed to save anything yet!! It seems that plenty of things are getting in the way, ie gas n electric, rent n council tax etc, but hopefully at the end of this month i should be clear with them, as im paying off big chunks to get up to date with them, then i will be able to save 2 big lots out of oh monthly wage, and bits here n there out of my weekly one

right miffed today. went for a job i met all criteria for, didnt get shortlisted. asked for feedback but not heard owt yet. worse bit is, the biggest boaster come general know-it-all in the office DID get short listed and DID have a "great interview". bare in mind hes already full time permanent and im only temp (part time). i only want something perm im not greedy after the money. just need the security with kids/mortgage etc. contract ends 31/03/08, which seems ages away but im only too aware it will be here in no time and i must have wages coming in by then or the mortgage just wont get paid. i cant believe it im so gutted about it. i spent all aft at work close to tears, the second i got in the car i blahed all the way home.

feeling bit better now, i say give him the job the smart a*se g*t and put his perm one up from grabs...

hmmmmf.

anyway, no ive not saved owt else as yet but currently at 150. (did have 160 but had to lend 10 back from it for bread, milk etc-couldnt help it, needed the bread and milk and ive got plenty time to put it back.) i was only going to put £20 in, and actually put £30 in so still in front of myself.

oh oh, oh accepted another mystery shop for next tuesday- £50er! then the second part of that is another £30. so now going add that £80 to my sig. bit for christmas and bit for hol xxx

aaaw so sorry u didnt get the job noggin, lets hope the smart a*se gets it n totally messes it up eh? theres always one person like that in every workplace n eventually they fall flat on their face because the bosses soon realise that they are full of the proverbial. Dont worry about it hun, keep your chin up and keep looking for the right job, if it helps Im in the same boat as you, at work Im 10 times better than the head chef n the new boss knows it but cant change it coz of company policy:eek:

I sed it dunt matter coz I will find something better than this anyway which she was inclined to agree with!!

re the savings ive not had a spare penny all week!! Hoping to have a bit by the end of the month tho!!

Im sat here in my new (well, sort of new:rolleyes:) computer chair!! Weve had the internet for nearly 2 years now and weve just had it set up next to the settee, proper hurts my neck and back!! OH got it from work for free which i good coz i was eying 1 up in tescos the other day for 11 quid but in dfw style i classed it as a want rather than a need so saved a potential 11 smackeroonies there!!

Hope every1s ok, jo how u doing with the childcare issue? You told your neighbour yet?

Im feeling a bit more positive today, Ive got a whole 20 pound note added to my pesky xmas savings, and ive lost 5lbs in weight this week!

Gonna go tescos after picking ds up from nursery, armed with my meal planner, only thing i forgot was that i will have to buy my dad something out of it coz its his birthday next week!! Always something cropping up int there!!

hi mm, im a bit better today thanx. i got an email at work today sayin ive got interview for another job i applied for. so bit more cheerful since then.

im really pleased for you mm, that youve got you savings up and running :T

is it a crispy new £20 note which looks liek monopoly money or one of the older ones, which i prefer?! :j

ive got 2 application forms to fill out for jobs in schools. 1 i might not be able to do then cos its over 5 days and dont have child care for that. but the other is ok i think. and its term time only aswell... :j

Thanx noggin, im not too sure which type of note it its, ive stuck it in my bedside cabinet not to be aired until the end of november, like that song from wyclef "ill be gone till november ill be gone till november..."
......right ive lost the plot now!
Hope you get the job u want noggin, ive applied for that teaching assistant job now but dont know whether i will get it or not, not too bothered at the moment, i might just ask my boss for another payrise next month and see how long she laughs at me for haha

hopefully will get sumat sorted in both dept's-both the cmas job for weekends and also my main job to find sumat perm.

hi all just finished work, im just sat here wondering whether it is actually possible saving $800 in just over 11 weeks?!!!! Ill give it my best shot but i thin k the telly will have to wait till next year!! not heard anything about the teaching assistant job yet, how r u nog n jo?

im ok thanx mm, got an interview thursday for perm job, scale higher then im on now so tiny bit more dosh. but most of all- its permenant!!!!! fingers crossed.
when ru expecting to hear re teachers job mm? this week?
why dont u trysaving ur tele money mm then go to jan sales? cos u mind land on sumat for half the price or whatever. i defo wouldnt buy one just before cmas cos they reduce the price on them so much on boxing day.
