That's fantastic!!! *making mental note to go car-booting to look for baskets next week*
My next port of call was going to be Wilkos but at that price  it kind of defeats the DIY point of it!!

hi mm, im fine today fell off wagon a bit myself. got a bit fed up of having NO food in the house, so went to tescos and spent £53.09 on a credit card. not good i know, but dont have that guilty feeling i usually get when i spend naughty money, as i know that i had to do it for food.
good idea purple, get to carboot and get your baskets from there cos wasnt going to start spending £10 when i had 9 to buy! madness that is!

  • ooh that's brill thanks Noggin! I might even get to use some points too.

I'm trying to get my shopping budget back on track at the moment. I'd been doing really well until I started back to work and my son's started a new school yesterday... bit of a stressful week thus far and I bought lunch in Boots yesterday  and seem to just keep 'popping out' for bits and bobs. Very bad.
    I'm quite cross with myself!

  • hi noggin n purple!!! thought every1 had forotten about this thread lol. ive got a new challenge for myself - as im a bit behind with the rent, im sick of paying it on the payment card i would like to direct debit it out of oh account but we pay it as it accrues at the mo as oh gets paid monthly. however i get paid weekly so anything left over after shopping and for the week etc out of mine im gonna bang it on the rent and council tax to try to pay it off early!! Ive read about the ppl who pay their mortgage off early well im goin to pay my rent haha. im gonna sign up to moozies mon-fri thread for this one so i dont go over 10 quid during the week. bty purple, have u got any freebies off the freebies board? im doin a basket for my sis and so far i got the basket off the carboot like your good self, and have filled it with dove deodorant, lipgloss, makeup from rimmel,a new mascara and mini showergel so far! im aiming to have spent a quid on it by xmas lol (that was the price of the basket) hope this helps xxx

  • Well it's safe to say that I'm officially out of the running for the pesky challenge... although I've worked out that I WILL have enough to pay off citi completely by the end of next week.. I forgot that it's the blackpool meet. :wall:
Oh well.. will just mean that it's put off a little bit.. it'll get paid eventually! :rotfl:
