    Hi Polkadotsandrainbows,

I actually have only been doing £1... It's not a lot BUT I do £1 no matter what size the item. So even if it's a serum sample with only 1 use in it :) I don't think I can afford to do anything more than that considering the size of my stash... I have a huge amount of sachets that only have - use in them too 😀

Oh i like it better! using up those minis can be such a pain sometimes! and truth be told i can't afford putting in £5 for every item but i didn't think that i could use up something often :( i forget to use toiletries save for basic hygiene items :( but your approach is better, that way i'll be motivated to use them, thanks a million Emma!

    eBay is a killer though.

i find (what I would call) bargains on there, but then notice the postage is really high, thus cancelling out the saving. how do people find actual bargains? :)

I've had some real bargains from Ebay but not fancy name brands. I like the old fashioned stuff so have bought rice milk soap for example and usually, even from Thailand, the postage is free. I wouldn't buy anything I'd never heard of before but you can find useful items quite cheaply if you're not devoted to brand names.
    Looking ahead

Also forgot to add but UU'd Rituals Organic White and Lotus & Yi Yi Ren Body Cream. This was a great product. I would definitely buy again if I didn't have loads of stuff to go through :)

  • Had a TA this week... got fed up with L'Oreal Nude Magique foundation, it's so slimy and siliconey, although I have dry skin it made me feel greasy! So, rather than continue to wear it and feel gross... it's gone.

Quite often bundles can work out cheaper. That's how I accumulated so much stuff. Soap and glory can be cheaper too. Not always but you do occasionally get lucky and find bargains. I've had a lot of bargain gift sets, especially after Christmas, people sell off really cheap what they don't want, often much cheaper than in the shops. I've had a lot of body shop stuff cheap too, body butters with 75% off the store price etc. I bought a body shop shower gel for a few quid including postage not long ago. That's why I have so many. I'd be more restrained in the actual shop :o If you want just general toiletries, then supermarkets are best when stuff is on offer - tesco quite often do shower gels etc at silly prices 97p Etc. but if you like body shop stuff for example, but not the prices in store, then you can get bargains on eBay as people often sell what they don't want or gifts they got (I got a satsuma set really cheap that someone couldn't use) or things bought in bundles, I've had ex body shop consultant stuff that'd only been touched with spatulas to test and hardly used and it was a bargain to me as it was about 70% cheaper than in the shops and the fact it's been tested once with a spatula dud t bother me personally. Try looking in the job lot sections too, occasionally you can pick up massive job lots that work out much cheaper per item, only a bargain if you will use the stuff though.

  • UU #5 today - think I am going to struggle to hit my 7 this month!

    5. Gerda Spillmann Hydro Pearls Make Up Primer 10ml. I don't really "do" make up primers, I got this as a sample and wouldn't buy even if it was really cheap (which I am guessing it isn't!). I use a moisturiser with sunscreen during the day and sometimes a serum underneath so it just seems like overkill to have three "things" on your face before you even start applying make up!

HUGE thank you to Shandyclover I think it was that recommended the Natural Collection waterproof mascara - AMAZING - I think it's the best mascara I have ever used and also the cheapest!

UU of 'Beverly Hills Polo' shower gel, think this one a Polo dupe. Perfectly pleasant, it was a gift so no idea where it came from.
DS has moved out and oh the freedom on the bathroom shelves! He took my largest body puff so I've had to buy a new one - 40p in Wilkos. I have three that came in gift sets, but they are such a fiddly size, it's pretty ridiculous. If I was 4'10' and 6 stone they would be ok, I guess.
Slowly working my way down everything but nothing will need replacing for the rest of this month. I had a few Am@zon freebies from sellers wanting reviews whilst I was absent from the threads, so that has helped. I have a really good eye cream and face cream (freebies) to give to one friend, she is a person who deserves nice things but everyone else in the family comes first.
