I guess I will let you laugh at me a bit. I think it's just come from wanting to treat myself and they don't cost a lot, wanting to try new ones and forgetting I have the previous ones! I know it's a bit weird but I do have an anxiety disorder. I used to tell myself I wouldn't need to buy any for a while then bought more but I'm determined to stop now. I do it with other things though, books, nail polish, flavoured tea...😵

I do it with bleach and laundry detergent!

I have had the same idea of a cheap treat. I think what stopped me was adding up the cost of all those shower gels etc and realising I could have saved up for a bottle of perfume or a Chanel lippie. I now don't even go into Boots unless I have to.
  • I agree with you. I wouldn't buy a dress or shoes but would spend money here and then on stuff I didn't need. My only problem is boots is next door to work and open early but I just bypass it now. eBay is a killer though.

    I've managed a couple more UU -

    1. Another Dove Pomegranate Deodorant but a full size this time. As before, prefer the grapefruit one.
    2. A tiny sample size of Clarins hydra quench serum - wouldn't buy this, I think there are nicer natural options.

I've added a half used Korres Jasmine shower gel and body lotion to my PP having finished the ones I was using. I've had them for ages as I only used with a perfume I had which had lots of jasmine in (which is too powerful for every day use), but the scent is quite subtle and works nicely with a Caldey Island cologne which is nice and light for the summer.

I could admit to one in - but I think a new bottle of mouthwash when I have less than half a bottle left isn't too frivolous so I won't beat myself up for that.

Question for you all - if any of you have lost a fair amount of weight, have you used any products to try to help avoid getting loose skin (e.g. firming body lotions), and if so was it effective and what did you use? I have started my weight loss journey (down about a stone so far but about 3 to go) and am a bit paranoid about ending up with saggy skin as I know other people it's happened to. However, I don't want to go crazy buying more toiletries if just keeping moisturized is likely to be enough, or if firming creams don't really make a difference.

Two UUs, both on the PP list (yay)

Di Palomo White Grape Hand Cream Loved the scent, but after it had been hanging around in the bedroom for a year the scent was fading, so I made an effort to use it up. I found it a tiny bit greasy, but my hands were smoother after use. So WBA if found on offer.

Hurraw Moon Balm Lip Balm I don't think I've ever finished a lip balm in such record time. I have used this religiously every night and my lips are definitely better for it. I like that it's a creamy consistency and not sticky. WBA. Have quite a few lip balms to use up though ...

I've been using my La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo samples and have had comments that my skin looks good! So that might be another IN in the near future :o:)

I'm just like you. Wayyyy too many shower gels. And if anything new comes out I just have to have it if I like the scent. I just like things that smell nice :o it's not even funny how many I have. My mum is not particularly happy about my stashing ways. And I agree... eBay is a killer, too many bargains. eBay is responsible for a lot of my stash! Especially as TBS stuff is soo cheap on there, I must have the whole range of shower gels by now, the 250ml ones too :o really need to start coming off eBay but it's like an addiction :(

    Few uu:

Nivea powder touch roll on deodorant - WBA did a good job and smells nice.

Dove pomegranate and lemon verbena spray deodorant - WBA I like the scent and does a good job.

Alberto balsam mulberry conditioner - WBA I love this scent. Wasn't the best conditioner but it was fine for the price.

Thanks Valm. I feel much better since I found this thread. Do you post the whole lot then on your list or just a few you have earmarked for UU this month?
I have had a UU tonight! Although I haven't done a list yet so not sure it counts:
Superdrug Lime and Coconut body butter. Smelt lovely to start off with but then the smell went a bit funny so had to keep it in the fridge. Nice texture and felt nice on my skin though. Would consider trying the others. They are 2 for £4 at the minute 😉 only joking I only just bought a load from the body shop before I found this thread so I'm not buying any more. Just need to decide which body cream to use next!

I've never actually posted a full stash list as it would take too long. Most of us do a list of 10 products each month that we post on here called a Project Pan list or PP list.

I have over 100 shower gels probably more like 150 with some being 50ml and 100ml, loads of 250ml and 500ml and even some 1L ones:eek:.

Indiepanda - I lost 6 stone last year and didn't use any firming creams, I used my body brush, scrubby gloves and regular body lotion. I have had two children (and pretty big ones too) and the only bit of me that showed any signs of loose skin was my stomach, it isn't bad and I'm OK with it.

I have my usual flurry of uu's

Sai Sei Bath Salts 500g - these were from the SpaceNK sale and even half price they were expensive. The smell is gorgeous but the crystals are huge and even in hot water take an age to dissolve. WNBA

Aromatherapy Associates Relax Deep Bath Oil 10ml - one more of this scent in the stash but loads of these oils in other scents so no need to repurchase just now.

Elemis Tri Enzyme Gel Mask 15ml - I got quite a few uses out of this tube and it feels nice and tingly on and then after my skin feels cool like it's had something menthol on. Other than that I don't see any benefit to my skin so WNBA.

Firstly really well done on losing 6 stone, that's so impressive.

Thanks for this, you've taken a weight off my mind and saved me from the excuse of "needing" more creams to spend money needlessly. I have a body brush and don't use very often but this sounds like a really good reason to do so and I have a few body scrubs to UU too. Maybe when I run out I should buy some of those scrubby gloves to use with shower gel instead - I have a far bigger stockpile of that to UU than scrub. I do like a nice scrub for the oils they have in them to make your skin soft, but a good layer of body lotion after scrubbing is probably about the same if I am honest.

My stomach is definitely the area I want to lose most fat (and so far where it appears to be mainly coming from), but even in my most self deprecating moments I couldn't pretend it got as big as someone would when they were nine months pregnant with a large child so I might even be lucky there. (I don't have children).

It did get me mistaken for pregnant when wearing an empire line dress one day earlier this year though. I didn't have the heart to tell the person they were wrong as it was a stranger I wasn't going to see again and we'd both have been embarrassed instead of just me. I think that dress will be going on the charity shop pile when I get Kondo-ing!!!
  • I have a UU to report! Lancome Visionnaire Serum. I just kept using because I've paid for it, WNBA, at fist it was quite nice but lately I've been breaking out in spots. Frankly I liked loreal's version of this -skin perfection serum- at least it didn't break me out! And it was a good base for foundation.

I have 3 new INs to report. I had an evening of weakness and purchased a new body shop shower gel - passion fruit scent. It smells divine!! I also signed up for my body shop membership again, paid the £5 and got a mini body shop hand cream too :). I also stopped by super drug and picked up a new hot pink lipstick for summer.. Possibly not necessary but it was such a lovely shade!

I have decided to go with both the carrot and the stick route. I Have a jar that I put money into every time I UU an item, I will keep this money for a treat for myself when I have enough saved or when my stash is down to a manageable size. However when I crack like I did this week and I buy something I don't need then I will take the money spent on unnecessary items back out of the jar. My little moment of weakness cost 50% of what was in my jar so I'm hoping that will teach me not to be so weak and to wait for when I really do need something!!

I also have another UU to report.
    9. Elizabeth Arden provocative woman shower gel.
