That's true - flight prices are down already. Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0

 Interesting that someone's assumed that everyone would have a spare £150 to pay for changing the holiday. For this single parent and two children the holiday represents a lot of budgeting, skimping and doing without for the last year. Besides without FCO warning the company were not having to refund.
However the good news is that (probably due to the exposure of Jet2s lack of action) Jet2 have now refunded this afternoon and once that appears back into the account, the family are able to catch what remains of equivalent all-inclusive holiday choices.
Many thanks to those of you who offered positive support.0 -
glad you got sorted, as a single parent myself, I value all-in holidays, for the hassle of worrying about too many extra costs.
xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

With respect, I think you are missing the point.
The situation is what it is, there are choices to be made based on current information. It is not about how much £50 means to you, its about whether you want to go and how you would enjoy your holiday given current situation.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It is not a question of "submitting to terrorism". It's about minimising the risk for yourself and your family. Of course life has to go on to a large extent but I think it is sensible, where there is a choice, to take a safer option. I do not believe for one moment that Tunisia is one of the safest countries to visit. In the present climate I would not take my family to a Muslim country and I really don't care if anyone disagrees with me. I do not take risks with my family for the sake of a holiday.0 -
To go to the area where any alleged terror attack takes place is probably the safest place to visit since it will have higher / tighter security0

Not necessarily. But either way, I would not take my family there. Bearing in mind how long the security forces took to arrive at the scene, I would not put much faith in them to protect me from another attack.0 -

Sorry, I disagree.
Some places are more vunerable to terror attacks than others. Some countries are not geared up to have the security necessary for the risks of attack they face at any moment in time. There is always the risk of lone wolfs operating in an area which has never had the need for great security and is ill prepared and there are parts of the world where the relentless attacks the country faces means that even major security is stretched.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
