Good morning! Yesterday I was so busy I didn't stop. Watched Humans while I ate dinner, that was about all the relaxing I did.
Welshkitty - you deserve a lovely dress, well done!
I made OH come to Weight Watchers yesterday and sit through the meeting as I need to get back on track and have lots of support with it. 3lbs on!!
:eek:We then went shopping with my lists from My Vouchers, Shopitize and Quidco. So, there should be a bit of cashback to come. All healthy stuff and lots of what we need for just £62. Awesome.
OH spent most of yesterday brewing a lovely chocolate stout, so the house smelled all beery
Had to see the nurse this morning to get my cholesterol results back. 3.1 - Get in!!! :jKeep reading books!

Hi all.
Yesterday was another spendy day. We went to a lovely NT place with DS and the dog and paid £3.50 to park the car. We took a picnic so no other spends there. Then I called at M&S and got some of the items on my huge list of school uniform. Today I need to call and get DD some trainers, luckily she hates trainers and is not a brand snob so they are just cheap ones because she has to have them.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Morning all
Hmm don't feel as though I've made much progress yet but I have paid a small amount of the debt so that's something. My loan payment is due out next week so that will be a £200ish reduction in the debt
After my super spendy weekend, I need to get some NSDs so my aim is not to spend anything (apart from bus fare) until the weekend.
I get paid again from 2nd job on Friday so looking forward to then to make some more debt repayments.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

NOOOOOOOOOOO
Well yesterday posted and lost it as my battery died and my blackberry switched off.
Today - no idea what happened but it is gone.
So try again.
Progress so far(If that's what you would call it)
SFd 3/20
Spends 63.78/200 including petrol today - will get bunny food as well seeing lost a SFD
CCards 10/150 - slowly slowly will tortoise along. Bad month for bdays
Not been paid for a dress on ebay so opened an unpaid case - annoying why bid?
Got lots done around my house this weekend, pressure of visitors arriving, shower sorted not leaking, mirror put up, garden weeded.
Downside - mirror in guest bedroom not flattering. Trying my hardest today to exercise and cut out junk food. Good walk this am, healthy brekkie yogurt and fruit, moving onto soup and fruit in a bit, followed by veggie lasagne tonight - bit annoyed defrosted 3 portions as couldn't see what was in tubs.
Burnt my nose somehow over weekend, blistered and must have caught it in my sleep - I do look comical.
Found a few items to sell will do next week when visitor free
Thanks for your lovely comments feel as if I have my home back now after the ex moving in behind me threat has gone.
Sorry haven't commented on your posts I did but it is in cyberspace somewhere.

A quote for today:
Never quit. If you stumble, get back up. What happened yesterday no longer matters. Today's another day, so get back on track on move closer to your dreams and goals. You can do it. Write down 3-5 challenges in your life. Then write down progress you have made on each. Then write your gratitude for that progress. Keep on pushing on.
This made me think of some of you lovely turtles who don't quit, who stumble but always get back up, who always push on.
Go turtles!

Oh dear, just woke up!!! Got in from work, made myself a coffee, sat down put telly on and fell asleep!! Still feel better for it.
Sfd so far but I do have to go out later but I'm hoping no money will exchange hands.
I will return later to confess if needs be. Hope everyone is fine and dandy with you all.

Afternoon
I'm not quite sure what happened to my weekend but the last few days have been a blur! Had a crazy weekend... shopping, gym, BBQ at our house and the odd tipple or 3 of wine.
Sunday I felt a little washed out but got down to the gym and claimed SFD number 3.
Today we had a do at work and had already run out of green things in my fridge from Saturday. I'm really trying to be healthy (salad, nuts, fruit, fish) but I find I get through quite a bit. I'm using my CC for all food buys but putting what I spend into a different account so I can pay it off in one fell swoop. Treated myself to something online too. Realised I now have £62.00 to last me 3 weeks!!!! Oooops! (cupboards are pretty full though and freezer is choc-full of stuff that was on sale).
Anyhow... I'm caught up on posts - I can't believe how much goes on in just 2 days. Keep on with it everyone!
Thanks too for the mention mothernerd - it does seem like a looooooong time ago that Kat was here pushing us forward. Have to say how good everyone has been here too since then. You're all a credit to her x

Hi and good afternoon fellow turtles!
Can't believe I still managed to hold on to yet another NSD. 6 days in a row, my longest stint of no spend ever. Spent almost all day in bed, nursing a bad back pain. Was supposed to be at work from 12-8 but couldn't manage walking and getting in and out of chair without wincing in pain so was told to have a bed rest. I think the whole day of gardening yesterday did me in, not having done that in a very long time. Plus I had to do everything as both sons and hubby were plagued by hay fever and couldn't give me a hand. This just goes to show how unfit I am and it will be my next mountain to climb - get some exercise and shift some pounds (lbs).
DS1 did a stock take in the cupboard and we are running low on stuff but can still manage to do one or two meals with what we've got. In the past running this low would have sent me panicking and doing a big shop. I'm pleased to say those days are gone. Frugality is the name of the game. Supper will be chicken pasta bake (without cheese as we have none).
DS1 will be going to Italy for a school trip in 2 weeks time. Yesterday he asked me how much pocket money will he get. I said we can only afford £200 but if he budgeted his money well, that should be enough. We agreed that he would allocate a portion of that money as his emergency/contingency fund then separate his mandatory spends as scheduled by his school (eg entrance fees etc) and then split the rest equally to daily spends. If he doesn't need to spend anything on a particular day, that amount could be rolled over to the next day. He's reckoned he will be fine with €15 a day and still have €50 euros as emergency money. I haven't been to Italy but do you think €15 a day would be sufficient? I am so pleased he is taking on this route of budgeting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -
Evening all! The Only Girl, I know Italy is expensive in parts - do they get breakfast etc in the hotel? Just thinking that £15 for all food plus anything else they might do is maybe a little on the thin side...serious well done to DS1 though, budgeting is best learned when you're young! Wishus, I'm not a fan of beer but I bet your house did smell awesome
Today was a spend day - spent £4.90 on two drinks in the pub after work - saw an old work colleague who I don't see nearly enough of. Taking that out of my "fun" budget. Didn't manage to get a workout in today as I think I might still be hanging from the weekend(!), and OH is feeling poorly tonight (not stopped him playing his video game all night though!) so I'm going to put another £10 in my extra savings account and then settle in with a bubble bath and a bit of chocolate. Busy week at work this week, so setting myself up for it! Have a good evening everyoneBought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free!
