Hi,
Does anyone know of a good car boot sale in the Guildford area?
Thanks!0 -
This one is in Walton on Thames.
It gets plenty of punters BUT it depends what you are selling?
The punters here come from the council area with England's highest "quality of life" (or at least they did have before the credit crunch) so they tended to be "picky" over second hand stuff.

Further afield you would be approaching the housing estates in what was Middlesex.
More migrants needing cheap stuff.

I've no experience of venturing out to the leafy lanes of Guildford and may well be at Wimbledon dog track over the Easter weekend.
Perhaps we should compare notes?

Hi,
Does anyone know of a big carboot near Reading/within a 30 minute drive which is good on the Easter bank holiday weekend? I've looked on carboot junction etc, although nothing on the size of them- I'd love a recommendation! Otherwise I think we will trek to the Kassam stadium in Oxford and try our luck there.
Thanks in advance, HIf you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
There is a really good one which I go to in Taplow. Go along the m4 and get off at the jct for West Slough (7?) turn left at the roundabout and follow the signs to Taplow/Maidenhead. Keep going for about 1-2 miles. The car boot is on the left directly opposite Taplow railway station. Its officially open from 10, but the first time I went there I was a bit late and got there about 11, and had to queue for an hour to get in with all the buyers. The people running it told me that most sellers get there around 7am. Its on every Sunday except BH wkends (including Easter) when it is on on the Mondays. I will be going this sun and easter monday. Hope this is useful.

Visiting mum next week and would like to take her to her first car boot.
I've looked on websites but just wondering if anyone has recommendations for good ones in Perthshire or Fife. She lives on the border.0 -
I hope to be doing a carboot on Sunday at Errol which is inbetween Perth and Dundee. Which would be a good one if its on.
Anyone know if its on?
TIA

Did the before mentioned carboot, after paying for my pitch and a couple of cups of tea i came come with £34. Not bad for stuff i didnt want anyway! Dvds went like hotcakes, as did paints, shoes, clothes and my friend sold alot of cuddly toys.
Going back soon, going to try lots of fabric, my friend had some and they had alot of interest but only a few got sold. Im thinking if youve got enough, some will sell, and I'm a fashion graduate so I have ALOT of fabric to give it a go with!Debt Free May 1st 2009Back to try and get debt free *again*
