CY, sorry I missed the posts about your health, healing vibes coming your way (and glad about the good news from the scans).
Bits and bobs done last night, returned curtains to Dunelm (STILL not long enough!), usual dailies and watered the garden (which an enormous thunderstorm later on also helped me with!)
Piggers, I think you might be reading this so I hope all is ok...just drop one of the regulars a line to let them know you're ok.

Morning all
Defrosted my fridge and freezer this morning and made DS2 get up and help for leaving the fan on in the LR all night. I am mean. Hoping this has sorted out the fridge which was not running cold. Kitchen was at 33 degrees all day yesterday so not surprised it is struggling.
Wm is on.
Shower next for me then I'm cutting the grass and doing the ironing.
Clouded over here and there is a chance of rain forecast which is welcome for the garden but not for DS3's school cricket match. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

I hadn't even had Time to look this morning mil rang in a tizzy, her power was off, she'd rung power company and they'd said someone would come out so not sure what I was supposed to do. Anyway went round clear the shoe rack etc out of cupboard and told her NOT to open freezer - too late she'd had a look in to see if stuff still looked ok and given it a move round (as you do!)
Anyway power company rang she's one of a few houses affected so they can sort it from their end but are coming to check her fuses for her as shed got a bit confused when trying to describe what set up shed got.
I've just sent FFP a private message on Twitter I'll let you know if I get a reply.
Need to nip down shops now and top up the salad for tonight, top up phone
And do lotto before work.
Hope all are well, "see" you this aftySPC~12 ot 124

Don't worry I'm certainly "off piste" as usual.
*I've just spent the best part of an hour watering the garden, and it's just started raining.
*Went to see my neighbour to check she was still ok to water the greenhouse and patio plants for the next fortnight; foolishly stood outside talking to her while wearing a yellow t-shirt so came in covered in thunder bug fliesand talking of livestock, when we get back I don't know who will be ruling the house - mice or crane flies  so far 5 mice are now 'late' and to say the bath and lounge are knee-deep in craneflies would scarcely be an exaggeration.
*written birthday card for my brother
*umpteen electronic gadgets currently charging including new rider to pillion intercom.
*emailed students I'm due to see the day after we get home
*rung my mum
*clothes pretty much in a heap in the spare room ready to pack
9 things left on my list; about 3 are essential but the rest would be nice. Mr N aiming to leave work at 3pm so we can be on our way by 5pm; huh rush hour. Overnight Stafford area tonight.

Rain has stopped play here. Still an hour of paid gardening done, my own grass will have to wait now.
Fridge is still not getting cold so will spend 10 minutes looking online to see if there is any hope for it, may have to go for a new one, proving to be an expensive month,The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Lots of bitty stuff happening here - tidying garage, conservatory and garden in prep for weekend. Also waited for grocery delivery.
DD had her transition visit with new teacher. Was a little shy going in but seemed to enjoy it, and she has plenty of friends in her class.
Just sorted fridge and cupboards out- dresser in DR is covered in party stuff. I think I may have over-cateredbut never mind. I also have an Iceland shop coming Saturday- so will make space in the freezer tomorrow althoug hoping most of it can go straight onto oven trays etc.
Also need to vac all of downstairs and sweep the top patio and the garden path.
At least we can breathe today! But all I can smell is that woodland smell (just put a new bag of chipped bark down). Warm but not sweltering...Bossymoo

Leccy bloke has given mils fuse boxes a clean bill of health, dd3 has just been round for more birthday cards that arrived late, they'd taken today off as a male bunny needed a visit to the vets to have his op. Bunny girl is a bit older she's been done a couple of months ago, but they'd been told he still wouldn't leave her alone if he's not done so they are caged separately at the mo (house bunnies) but it's hoped they can be introduced once he's fully recovered. 2nd attempt at op today the first time he went vets they put him under and he stopped breathing so they had to bring him round quick. Today we've had call to say all went well and op was going ahead.
Clouds have cleared here so it's baking again.
Going to look at the lists now and see what needs doing.SPC~12 ot 124
