Miss Muddy Paws is still in hospital. She has had a scan today and more blood tests. Vet thinks it might triaditis or FIP. It doesn't sound good. She also thinks there is something neurological going on because she (cat) seems to have forgotten how to eat and swallow food. She also seems spaced out.
I had to google those, as I'm not at all well-versed in feline ailments - I'm so sorry, it must be so very worrying.

Still nothing from Piggers, I see; we just have to trust that, as a grown woman and a very capable one at that, she'll weather whatever life's bunged at her this time. I have to say, I have a bad feeling about it, though.:(

I've S&S'd the place so that it's reasonably clean and tidy - the Noyz Boyz will be here very soon.:T

Me too LW, wherever her and her loved ones are I just hope they are all OK.

Back from work with 3 raffle prizes from last weeks fete. A hamper, a toiletry set and a cookbook with £5voucher. Going to give my mum the hamper As her cupboards are never exactly full.

Going to hopefully finish the shredding now

I'm sure Piggers is ok, there could be lots of good reasons for not sharing anything online atm. I am confident she will come back home once any dust settles and she know everybody will be thinking of her.

I've had a potter in the garden and washed my new half price bed linen, drying on the line now.

Just having a glass of water and then HH pottering inside.

Booked the day for fitting the carpet, DS1 and his GF are looking at flats to rent tomorrow though so he may have moved out before it is laid.

Thanks Dusty; it's in my nature to always imagine the worst (Mr LW only has to be held up in traffic getting home and I'm convinced he's lying dead or injured somewhere).

Anyways, the Noyz Boyz have arrived; I have the back door and the patio door wide open, and the fan on, and we're all still too hot.:o
Harvey's brought his toothpaste and toothbrush with him; he has some teeth missing at the back, and gets food stuck where the teeth were, so he needs a clean-out daily.:o Charlie, who has a dodgy back, has brought his day-bed so that he has somewhere comfortable in the lounge while Harvey hogs the sofa.:o

ETA: I meant to say, too, Welcome Home Vanilla, lovely to "see" you.

    Thanks Lamewolf xx

One niece decluttered back to rightful owners. More washing on the line and more brought in, very sunny and blowy here today.

Decided that me and the OH should go to a concert tomorrow night so waiting on rail place to ring me back, hopefully get a good deal on train and hotel then need to get some money exchanged. Will worry about rest later and pack.

Right better keep moving and get the house in shape before we go..

My immediate plans have been turned upside down. Took a phone call from the specialist nurse this afternoon. The team have discussed my case and cancelled my referral to Leeds.

Instead I am seeing a Doctor in York about starting chemotherapy.

Turns out the scan results weren't quite as good as I had been lead to believe..

On a positive note I can have the chemo in York which will be better...

More than a bit gutted to be honest...

CY Big hugs and thinking of you.

Have washed up all the dishes and that's it. I'm shattered with the heat.

CY big hugs sweetie, that must be very disappointing after your last phone call and a bit of a shock. We are all here right behind you and wishing you a completely successful outcome xx

  • Hi everyone,

I'm struggling this week. Flying limited to dailies, as seem to have been very busy with other stuff. However did manage some ironing last night, and the big paperwork frog.
DD1 and DD2 both had friends for tea after school, so what with the paid stuff and dog walking there isn't much time left. It's a good thing small children do not care if the house is untidy and the lawn long.

CY I'm sorry that things are not quite as hoped. You seem to me to be amazing at finding the positive out of any situation. Keep strong xxx

Very wise Dusty you are right, I'm sure.

LW glad you have doggy company. You can borrow mine if you like. I've been throwing the ball in the garden and she got too hot and went and stood in our pond (stinky and full of frogs) then went straight into the kitchen to shake herself off. Now muddy puddles and duck weed everywhere. And she smells.
