Just back from melting in mils garden, I've filled the garden wheelie bin to the brim and added more to the pile at the bottom of her garden, bird baths and feeders have been filled as they were bone dry. I even rediscovered the path under her front window that should please the windowcleaner. Noticed her neighbours car has had its side window put through glass all over the seat:mad: don't know what if anything has been taken, tried knocking but no one was in.
Thought DD2 would be here when I got back but she must have changed her mind cos it's so hot or got healed up at feeding group.
Going to get ready for work now.
Hope everything ok pigpen
"C" you all laterSPC~12 ot 124

thanks for that. I tried Live Chat and he suggested it was my internet (it wasn't) and to try another browser (tried IE and Chrome). I've emailed the cashback company and alerted them in case anyone else has trouble. I ended up gritting my teeth and phoning the guesthouse; I told the owner I'd had trouble as I thought they may be low on bookings if other clients were giving up.
I may try the customer support route when I come back.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Bossy belated birthday greetings.
I've calmed down after my rant; went to zumba yesterday and remembered how much I need proper exercise for my mental health. Had thought I did a fair bit of walking when away with my brother, but it's not the same plus I did give in to some croissants so the wheat clearly had its effect. Went to Body Pump this morning and thankfully the air con was working.
I can't remember what was on my list on Mon but I'm doing ok. Bit sorry my tayberries, mange tout peas and broad beans are going to be at their peak while I'm away. My neighbour is on greenhouse watering duty and hopefully will eat things as they ripen so at least I haven't put in all that seed-sowing and growing effort for them to rot!
WM on.
Planted out all essential plants so they won't die while I'm away. Got a few more which hopefully I'll have time to do tomorrow.
Got a student this afternoon, thinking of teaching him in the garden.
Yesterday's assessment went well; almost finished doing the scores but unlikely to finish the report before I go away.
Out this eve with friend to see Carmen 'beamed-in' from English National Opera; a bit of lust and betrayal should finish my day off nicely! that's what the trailer says............
Healing vibes for all poorly cats etc.
Sad to report cute mouse no.3 trapped yesterday. I did manage to de-trap it and put it in the bin myself.:(Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
PS I've given up hope of ever hoovering up all those pesky craneflies which keep dying everywhere.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0

Another load wm put out.
Have to put sofa throw in the wm as someone got Choc Choc on it whilst I was at the vets.

Hope everyone is ok.
Have kept the blinds closed this morning trying to keep house cooler, window thermometer reading 40 degrees in the shade as sun hasn't got round there yet and hallway is coolest part of the house - the thermostat there says it's 26.5!
This morning's washing sorted and put away already. Kitchen chores and bathroom cleaned this morning early. Tea will be cheesy pasta with ham and salad sprinkled over, easy to prep and eat (minimal washing up too!)
Now have fan on while watching the tennis as it's too hot for anything else at the moment.
Take care all.0 -

I do hope Piggers is ok; like a lot of you, I'm concerned at her absence.
Folks, a big Thank You for keeping me relatively calm re the problems with the insurance people; I got no reply to my email, so Mr LW called them today - he took the letter with him so that he could refer directly to it. Anyways, bottom line is they "don't know how the error was made" but they have apologised profusely and confirmed it should never have been sent to me at all. Hooray!:T
I'm afraid it's way too hot for any meaningful Flying today; I've done the basic stuff needed for hygiene, and that's about it! And decluttering large amounts of chilled water.:D
However, I have checked my July calendar, and starting on Friday 3rd, I have wall-to-wall woofers for the rest of the month!:jIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I think we all all are LW really hope everything is as it should be.
You are hereby under FLYLADY orders to to take some time out to chill down, have a nice cold drink and sit and "be"
DS is not in the best of moods - trips don't seem to bring out his happy to be home sideDD wanted to paint, meh. So I got the parasol out and and the a frame board and let her paint on the back lawn in the shade. They are just having picnic tea thankfully no one wants hot food - no cooker required!
I've got an hour or so to myself tomorrow as DD goes to school for transition session. Need to pop to bee n queue for some chipped bark and more bedding plants. Morrisons didn't have any left!
I might be too hot to eat dinner. Maybe I'll just have the other half of my grapefruit...Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0
