Phew what a scorcher! Glorious day, but it has made the kiddies a bit restless and they are still wriggling about. I've left windows open upstairs- might go find my desk fan...

Had a lovely day and thanks for the birthday wishes- simple things, bit of a mooch and coffee with my mum, bought a new pretty doormat:) had lunch and dinner out so no cooking, and a few super gifts.

All in all a very pleasant day! :T

Just having a cuppa in my new mug then I will do the list then have a cool shower I think :D

  • Evening all,

What a lovely day. Not done too badly today, paid stuff until school pick up, then DD2 had friend round for tea, and I still managed to do all the Monday list, plus sweep up around the front of the house.
Happy Birthday Bossy, glad you had a good day. Not cooking on a lovely hot day like this is especially good.
Now I'm off to put my feet up and have a nice cold drink. :)

I hope Pigpen is ok, been thinking of her lots today.

Dusty, what a tough day. I hope both are feeling better.

Glad you had a fabby day bossy, simple pleasures.

I was at work all morning, and it's been so hot, I haven't achieved a lot apart from, for only the second time in my life, I have mown the grass, we have 1/4 acre so it's no mean feat, it took ages and The grass was so long. Spent quite a lot of time swearing at the lawnmower! Have watered the plants too. Cleaned the paddling pool for littlies too.
First day of diet and exercise routine, actually managed to do it! Which is very unusual for me!
    Hope everyone is ok.

Daft time, I have bought a new to me lawn mower to replace the one I made catch fire 2 weeks ago, this is a Sp mountfield, now no one told me it was a pull start thnigy, and guess what I cannot pull start, OH has to start it for me, then I can mow, but if it stops I need OH again!

Solution is he mows. All th time
Hugs to those of you going through carp. Special fly love to CY and a wooty wooty woot woot for FBO for not giving in to your demon
Am not happy with those who live here who aren't even trying to pull their weight. dD must be feeling guilty, she came out into the garden and watered while I mowed

    Morning everyone.

Was at my voluntary job yesterday. It was so hot in the hospital. A few weeks ago A&E and a few other departments moved to a new specialist emergency hospital. It's very quiet now.

Electrician coming today to fix burglar alarm. While he is busy I will sort the kitchen. DD coming for lunch.

    bossy Belated Happy Birthday greetings.

    Morning!

Pulled all the duvets off last night- slept under empty cover :T much more comfortable!

Pigpen hope all is well with you xx

Slightly concerned about the heat today and DS on a school trip- they've said they need long sleeves and trousers:eek:

Hopefully they'll be mostly in the forest and it's cooler. DD also doing the Barnados toddle today- fancy dress! I've put the kibosh on her Disney princess ideas and she's wearing bright shorts and tee with a rainbow tutu and headband. She can't flounce around as Belle in 30deg heat!

Gah. Back to work- but at home at least...
